Electric Power hits, how to save guard your equipment

Hello all,

I thought I would share some info about reloading electronic equipment, if you are poor like me and cannot afford to keep spending money with electric powered tools like powder dispensers, case trimers, case prep centers, brass annealer anything you use for reloading, this thread may interest you.

I live in a house built in 1983, the electric is a 2 wire system and the conduit is the ground. When I get hit with an electrical spike it hits hard, this may destroy my/your equipment.

To prevent this I purchased an APC Backup UPS 450 (APC warranties up to $75K) for X amount of years, in my case 3 years, I only plug in 1 thing at a time and it will prevent my/your equipment from being destroyed.

I hope this helps some here and save you money…..

Thanks for your time, Steve

Seen a few videos on YouTube discussing a new cartridge made by Derek Webster, but haven’t seen any discussions about it here. Curious if anyone has ventured into this cartridge, or is thinking of doing so? What’s recoil like from any first hand experience?

The pro that the videos talk about for using this bigger cartridge is creating smaller wind brackets as wind increases. As well as making clear swings on plate from force. Let me know what you guys think.

CA tax payers have already paid for at least $34 million for rioters to be transported and equipped.

At least one of these “companies “ Crowds on demand - that pays equips and transports people to demonstrations and riots has received $34 million in state funding after a hearty contribution to Newsome campaign.

Our tax dollars at work

I fucking hate how carelessly our hard-earned money is spent by those who don't have to account for it.

Normally it's wasted on stupid-assed social programs, dumped into mega rich colleges and even unnecessary use it or lose it mindset.

After oak leaf shedding season here in Florida, many of my idiotic neighbors take their leaves and blow them into the storm drains.
You might say, "well, that's just fucking dumb." Of course you'd be correct. Not only is it dumb, but it's lazy and illegal.
Dumping those leaves into the storm drains allows them to stack up and block the pipes. For those unaware, oak leaves don't float down the lazy, pretty river like a child's paper boat. They sink to the bottom and begin layering up. Mix those leaves with dirt and oils from the road and pretty soon you have a dam built up. Hitting them with pressure only serves to strengthen their resolve to stay put.

Enter: this guy.

20250613_072756.jpg

The Suckerater 2000. A big, diesel powered vacuum with a super long flexible hose.
With the 2025 storm season (and general rainy season here) rapidly approaching, Hillsborough County is taking the let's fix it before it's broke approach.
Fortunately, they do this every year at this time.
He was out here yesterday sucking out the leaves.
Boss man ran the camera down the pipe this morning and had him come back to complete the job.

Would it have been better and cheaper to do it right the first time?
Of course.
However, it is being corrected.

This is the kind of stuff I want my tax dollars paying for.

BREAKING: ATTENTION ALBERTA, CANADA GUN OWNERS: Do NOT comply with disarmament.

Just receiving unsettling updates here and there that Home Office officials in Alberta are either planning or already engaged in confiscating firearms from gun owners under "emergency clauses" but everybody knows that an important voting referendum is coming up regarding Alberta's secession and possible joining with the United States.

Do NOT comply, no matter what they say. If you do not have anything registered, that means you don't got 'em. Form community mutual defense pacts with neighbors and likeminded towns. Also spread the word to others in more rural areas or those who may not be in the constant Internet flow of news. They may try to trick people into giving up their guns by saying that the confiscation is "temporary and they will be returned when the state of emergency is lifted". That is BULLSHIT. Do not give them up.

308 Pistol 12.5" load development

Hey guys. I've got a 12.5" 1:10 308 pistol. Love it. Got a SilencerCo Velos can, externaly adjustable riflespeed gas block ect. Aero upper lower and barrel. 600 rounds down the pipe soooo she's broke in lol. Taken her out to 700 but she falls apart at that range (obviously with a 12.5"). Rock solid at 600 and in though with 168g AAC OTM Factory loads. Love them tbh. Shoots sub moa with those believe it or not.

Anyways, I'm gonna start loading this week. Got a few hundred 168g A-Max (intermediate range) and 110g V-max (close range self defense), and 220g berry's subs I'm gonna load for. All once fired brass, CCI primers, and good ole varget. Anyone got any load data for these on their 308 sbr in 12.5"??
Charge weight ect? I got a few lbs of varget.

The 4.5-28x50 took almost 2 years to complete. It was intended for multiple applications. The new GAP reticle makes it a premiere candidate for PRS competition being designed with substantial contributions from PRS shooters, offering multiple points of holdover for wind and bullet drop, measurements and ranging, as fine as 0.1 Mil spacing. The mechanics are perfectly tensioned with no slap whatsoever, and leave no doubt or confusion when the shooter dials, giving maximum confidence needed to win. Vertical range of adjustment: 35 Mils. The 50mm objective is a great compromise for low light optical performance and weight reduction, the scope is 12 oz lighter than the big brother G2. We make this new model with a 34mm tube, a large fast focus ocular and 11 position illumination rheostat. The reticle center dot illuminates and it has 0.1 MRAD click adjustments with perfectly sized knobs. All these features also make this model very attractive for hunting in difficult light conditions, in very rugged terrain and extreme temperatures. Take a look at other top shelf American and European brands and see how much you save with this one, while getting Superior glass and best precision mechanics!
