New barrel questions with a boroscope

A dangerous combination... I picked up a new Howa 1500 barreled action in 6.5 CM and a new Teslong boroscope. Both are very awesome :)

So I tried out my new boroscope on my new Howa barrel and here are some of the pictures. I have not shot the Howa yet, so I wanted throw these out there before I did and see your thoughts? I scoped my Aero Precision Solus and it was basically spotless. The entire Howa barrel was like the pictures below (I only posted 4, but the entire barrel seemed to look like this in some fashion).

Thoughts? Should I just take it to the range and see how it shoots before I get all sideways?

Thanks!

Firearms WTS: LWRC REPR 7.62 x 51, NightForce NXS 3.5-15x50

Used LWRC REPR in pristine, like-new condition with less than 500 rounds fired. I bought this beauty brand new a few years ago, but it’s barely seen any action since—it’s just been sitting in my safe, waiting for someone who’ll truly appreciate it. Built with LWRC’s legendary reliability, this rifle is practically begging to be owned and enjoyed by someone who’ll put it to good use. Serious inquiries only—reach out for more details on this incredible, barely-used setup!

LWRC REPR Rifle: $4,000 for the rifle.
NightForce NXS 3.5-15x50 FFP LV5 MOA reticle scope and rings: $1,200 for the scope and rings.

‘Entry level Rifle Setup’

Looking to dip my toes into the bolt gun world after spending all of my time in the AR world. Looking for viable options under $3k that can either be built or turnkeyed from a reputable company.

So far I’ve got the list of turnkey rifles at:
- MPA Matrix Pro PMR
- Aero Solus Competition
- Seekins Havak HIT Pro M3
- Tikka T3X Ace Target

All would be in 6.5 Creedmoor as I’ve got 2 AR10’s already chambered in that round, and good factory ammo is readily available.

I’m currently leaning towards the Seekins because of the quick change barrel option, but I’ve heard there are issues with the HIT taking pre-fits if I ever wanted to change calibers or upgrade barrels.

Are there other options I should be considering? Is it worth looking to assemble a rifle with a $3k budget?

Looking for a list of vendors for a custom action purchase

I’ve tried searching but can’t seem to find a vendor list for custom actions here on the Hide. I’m trying to save on tax and shipping by purchasing from one place that has most of the components in stock instead of shopping at multiple places.

It’s for hunting build and I’m leaning towards a Kelbly or Impact (75 degree bolt) and a stainless barrel, not CF.

I'll have a triple scoop of irony with some irony on top, served in an irony cone!!!

The longer you read, the funnier it gets... rapper Young Scooter? Not getting any older? On his birthday? Scooting from police? When he jumps a fence, breaks his leg (while scooting) and dies suddenly?

Betting that if they'd opened the door and turned the stereo down... he'd be alive today!!!

Always thought he did a great version of "At the Hop!"

And if he had learned to hop... he'd also be alive today!

I'll have my irony "To go." Like, out the back door. Doing an impression of Jesse Owens! Who, for the record, was a runner though won gold in the Long Jump. See, if Little had been a pole vaulter or a hurdler... he'd also be alive today.

Like I said... it's just gets funnier...

Optics 30mm & 1" rings, APA, Bobro, Leupold

Clearing out some ring sets I'm not using anymore. All are used in good condition.

First up, APA (American Precision Arms) 30mm aluminum rings marked .750 on the bottom. Presumably .75" is the rail to center line on these.
$125 shipped CONUS

Next up are some Bobro vertical split 30mm aluminum rings. Distance rail top to center line on these looks about .75" as well.
$100 shipped CONUS

Now we have some of the classic steel Leupold 1" rimfire mounts that fit on an Anschutz or 3/8" dovetail. These look 1" center line to the rail top meaning these must be the "high" model.
$50 shipped CONUS

Last up, steel no name 1" rimfire rings for a 3/8" dovetail. Looks like about .7" from center line to rail top. Think I did actually buy these at a gun store years ago so they aren't air-soft, but they aren't great either.
$20 shipped CONUS

Accessories MDT poly AICS .223 mags & pic / arca ckye-pod mount

2x 10rd MDT AICS .223 magazines. These have less than 20 rounds through them. They were just never the favorite mags of my .223 and they don't fit my 350 Legend as my other .223 mags do. As such, I'm selling them in near new condition. $65 shipped CONUS

MDT Ckye-POD attachment head mount - RRS BTC 106725 - BLK. This in new in unopened box. I don't remember how I ended up with an extra one of these, but I it was in the back of my gear bin. This is basically an upgraded clamp that allows you to upgrade older Ckye-pods to the new attachment head that fits on both ARCA and picatinny rails. I'll do half retail price for such an oddball piece, $60 shipped CONUS.
