Arken 4-16 vs Athlon 4-14

I want to hear y'alls thoughts comparing the Arken EPL-4 4-16X44 and the Athlon TALOS BTR GEN2 4-14×44.

Currently I'm running the Primary Arms SLX 4-14x44 with the R-Grid 2 reticle. For $200 shipped I don't think that I could have found a better optic. However, holding wind with the R-Grid 2 sucks. There are no good horizontal reference points until 2 mil. Between the chevron and outer horse shoe is 1 mil, and there is no horizontal line. You're kinda just holding out in space until 2 mil, which is not ideal.

My main reason for wanting to upgrade is reticle. I am very happy with my $200 PA scope otherwise as far as durability, clarity, function. I use it to great effect out to 600 yards no problem whatsoever, except if its windy. I'm very open to suggestions of other optics but before you suggest please know that this is going on a m12 type AR. I do not need any magnification higher than 16x and and want mag down to 3x or 4x at a minimum. Must be MIL-RAD reticle and must have horizontal stadia for wind holds. I'd like to use my 30mm QD rings. Illuminated is highly desirable but possibly not a deal breaker. $500 shipped is my upper limit in budget. I don't like nice or fancy things, I like good things that work good enough for my purposes, which will not be shooting past 600 yards.

I don't need "alpha glass". Happy for dudes who have the time/money for such things but that will never be me. Anyways...

Arken Pros
Capped windage turret
reported longer eye relief than Athlon
Zero stop
Illuminated reticle

Arken Cons
Some poor impressions of the optic are abundant and people dislike their marketing scheme.

Athlon Pros
Shorter/smaller than Arken and Primary Arms
Whole reticle is illuminated
Zero stop

Athlon cons
windage turret is open

Let's hear the opinions! Also FYI if this turns in to a bash Arken thread I'll delete your post. There are enough of those out there. If you had a bad experience with Arken let me hear it, but I'm not here for your vitriol. I'm looking from objective experiences from people who have USED these optics on their rifles for medium range shooting. Thank you.

Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 AB+

I've had the Leica Geovid Pro AB+ here since December and have been using it pretty exclusively since then.
I suspect, it will remain my primary binocular at least for this year and quite possibly beyond that.
I finally have a wrap-up video up on Youtube:
Login to view embedded media and I discussed it in a few livestreams prior to that.
I have not yet had a chance to use it for hunting, but I have used it for a good amount of scouting. I had an aoudad tag for late February, but my dayjob went berserk, so I had to pass on it.
The cliff's notes version is that I am quite impressed with it. Optically, I think it is the best LRF bino on the market today overall, although it is quite close between Leica, Swaro and Zeiss.
AB integration in the Leica is a nice touch, since it works with everything else in the AB ecosystem. I use it with AB's Quantum app quite seamlessly. It also connected to my Kestrel without any issues.
They way they've got data coming out is more hunting oriented, I think. Competition guys would probably lean toward a busier snapshot view. I am sort of ambivalent in this case. For the way, I use them, it does not make any practical difference.
My only real complaint is that I would have probably preferred a 50mm and if Leica really wants to go after the competition crowd, they should really consider a 12x50 version of the Perger prism LRF binocular design. Still, as is it has worked very nicely for me through some impressively rough treatment and of all of the LRF binoculars I have tried, this is definitely the one that produces the least amount of eye fatigue. I can use it for a substantial amount of time through the day without any issues.

300 Norma H-1000 max?

Getting ready to work up two loads for my AXSR AI barrel, 27” 300 Norma with the 215 Berger Hybrid and 230 A-Tip and looking for info on what I should consider the max charge weight for these. I’ve read the 300 Norma thread and my loading manuals and the max seems to vary by several grains depending on the source.
I’m using H-1000
Lapua brass
9 1/2M primers are what I could source.

Would appreciate any guidance on this.

SIG Rattler 300 blackout suppressor recommendations

I'm looking for a suppressor for a Sig Rattler 5.5 length. I was going to get a trash panda but it's a little long in the tooth, thought there might be some better options. I'm not a big suppressor guy but I do ( like most) want the quietest & shortest available.
During my dive, I see where Cat is going to have a CAT/Rat available in 25 but not sure I want to wait for that.
My short list is CAT OBD , HUXWRX 762 TI, Velos 762, Other options like the CGS Hyperion are quieter but longer than I'd like.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions!

Accessories KMW Sentinel w/ IMB, Henderson Rail

$850 shipped
PP f&f , MO or check would work best for me.

Right handed KMW Sentinel with the Integrated Mounting Block for a short action R700 footprint, KMW bottom metal, Henderson rail, the shorter picatinny rail, and a couple extra LOP spacers.

I bought this used and the previous owner had the IMB machined for trigger clearance. I used it with an ARC archimedes and it was fantastic. The overinsertion tabs on the bottom metal allowed me to cycle the bolt with the magazine resting on a bag.

Selling it because I had to switch to left handed rifles due to an eye injury.

ETA: there are a couple of chips in the molded in finish on the right side of the forend. See last image.

I weighed it with Henderson rail and bottom metal installed: 4.95lb

Accessories Magneto Speed V2 Cheap

Used V2 I have been running for a few years. A few things to call out.

1) I don't have any of the small screws used to add the spacers and lock them down. I just added the spacers and ratcheted the tie down without issue.

2) The strap for the tie down to a barrel (or suppressor) is missing a metal bar that made it easier to tighten. It broke a few years ago, however, the strap still works fine without it. I just pinch the strap against my suppressor and tighten it down.

3) Last time I used this I got some funky readings when the humidity and cold were present. The SD was consistent, but my velocity swung by 100fps. It was a day when the air temp and humidity changed massively and the strings were shot before and after the change. I had never seen that happen.

Given all of this and the fact it's well used, if someone wants it for $75 shipped it is all yours. It has served me well from 22LR to 300 PRC.
