What is this borescope pic?

The rifle is a Bergara b14 hunter, I used it hunting for many years, it took rain, fog, snow amd blizzards. After an hunt in rough weather i always cleaned the bore but I have to admit i never babied it. Since I go hunting at least 30 times per year and i take one animal more or less everytime, sometimes hunting 3 times a week during autumn and winter, of course it was impossible to clean the bore to bare metal everytime i shot. I preferred to keep accuracy and POI consistent keeping the barrel fouled. I stored it always in a humidity controlled room. There is absolutely no surface rust, even where the finish of the rifle went totally off for rubbing against the backpack or against my body. It has shot more or less 500 .308 win factory rounds and it is still very accurate, shooting easily 0.3 MOA with a couple factory loads.

After all these years i decided to clean the bore to bare metal since this rifle is going to retire for a while and it will be used only occasionally from now on.

I found this spot with what looks like pitting/corrosion more or less 15 inches from the chamber (it is a 22 inch barrel). There are a few other spots looking like this but smaller than this one in the same area of the bore. The rifling looks good in the rest of the bore and it wasn't difficult at all to clean all the fouling and copper.

I am not worried about this because the rifle shoots very well and this spots are not located in the most critical portion of the bore but i am curious about what could have caused this. It is a button rifled barrel and it was the first time i borescoped it.

Thanks for the input guys!

SOLD CWA/Precision Defense Rimfire 2011 Racegun

A true custom built 2011 Rimfire racegun that’s built to go fast! I just picked this thing up last week after waiting a few months for it to be built. Shot 3 of my best times in the first Steel Challenge match with it last weekend. Truly an awesome tool for someone who is serious about going fast with a Rimfire pistol. I’m only selling due to a recent sponsorship opportunity that won’t allow me to use this platform.

Will come just like it did from Chet Whistle and the Precision Defense team with one 10 round magazine.. In addition, it will come with 8 additional 15 round magazines.

Can be purchased with or without the optic that was installed new last week with the gun. Have the box for the optic.

Avoid the wait time, and save a few bucks!

$2300 gun and magazines
$2600 with optic

Charlotte, NC. Happy to ship to your FFL.

New Ruger Precision Rifles?

Out of curiosity, anyone shooting one of these rifles? The newest version, appears they have changed a few things on them. Accuracy, stock fitment, loose folded/unfolded(the old ones were wobbly and Rugged didn't GAF). I had a couple older ones, were ok but just like a fat chick-was a good idea at the time--

The 18095 model to be specific, not, get a prefit, Origin, etc. etc.

Manfrotto RC2 & Arca Swiss Bino Adapter?

Are there any other options besides the Field Optics Research Rapid Release that have BOTH of these options on the base? The reviews I found for that product are shaky at best (pun intended).

I have Manfrotto tripods with RC2 and several 200PL plates already. If I change the tripods over to Arca, then I need all new plates for my camera gear. And adding a 200PL to a tripod adapter adds a fair amount of bulk (probably last resort).

I did find that Manfrotto now makes a 200PL-PRO plate that is both Arca and RC2 compatible. Still don't want to buy all new plates.

Probably should mention the mount to the binos is a 1/4-20 threaded hole.

Thank you in advance.

Terminus Zeus vs mpa action

Sorry not sure where I'm supposed to post.
I'm looking to get into long range target shooting and I'm wondering if the zuse is the better smoother action. Would a complete mpa rifle satisfy you?
I'm wondering if I'd be better off just buying a mpa vanquish because budget is maxed, and I would also like to get a seekins hunting rifle or build on a hnt26 chassis. Also this is all MSRP I'm going to try to get most of it used

Homestead: The Movie

Wife and I watched it last night, both thoroughly enjoyed it. Both of us thought it was well written and casted (wife is a big fan of Neal McDonough so getting her to watch wasn't too hard)

For such a small company, Angel Studios has really been putting out some damn good movies...Sound Of Freedom, The Shift, Bonhoeffer....all been damn good watches.

Looking forward to watching Homestead: The Series, looks to be a good continuation of the movie.

Leofoto tripod for NRL

Good afternoon everyone. Recently shot the Sooner State Safari match and figured out some things I need to do differently for time management and deployment. My tripod ( a bog) is just not up to the job. Broke a tripod leg during a stage.

Picked up a cert for Leofoto and am just curious what others are using and what my best option would be from them. I appreciate input on tripods but am looking for a Leofoto since I have a cert and am poor. If you were shopping for one like me, what sounds good and why?

Also, a good recommendation for a tax table, plate bag and again what and why?

Thanks in advance for the help.

When you suck & they hate you but you're also one gun away from completing the collection...

Finally got my HK P30 LEM collection put together and wanted to share.

There's also an easter egg in the picture for sharp-eyed members here that adds an element of legitimacy to the picture/post.

ETA: if you picked up on the easter egg- PM me rather than posting it here and I'll confirm or deny if that's 'it'. Let's give the chickens some feed to peck at.

A word of caution when dealing with snakes...

There are few creatures as beautiful or as deadly as the cobra.

Snakes Vertebrate Reptile Serpent Indian cobra

Naturally, men of our stock are attracted to such critters and for millennia have asked themselves "if only I could harness that beauty & lethality"...and our ancestors have forever thus tried to tame the beast only to find out generations later that the cobra cannot be tamed and once more-we found out that they're quite prolific and reproduce far faster than anticipated.

Did you know a single cobra can lay between 10-30 eggs? I didn't before going down this noble endeavor and before I knew what was happening- I was left with a snake pit as deadly as they are beautiful...

Trigger Air gun Silver Gun barrel Everyday carry

I sought to my elders, I looked towards our ancestors on how I could possibly reign in this den of cobras and wield their strengths while understanding their potential for harm and also appreciating their beauty and suddenly a solution was presented from of all places but the jungles of Vietnam...

I needed a bonafide snake-eater to watch over the rapidly growing snake pit... I searched high & low and found myself a true champion to watch over my flock...

Knife Carbon fibers Everyday carry Hunting knife Scabbard

Pictured above is my snake pit- a CCO, Kobra Carry & Kobra Gov't along with my latest addition to the Ed Brown Collection, a Gov't Special Forces model.
