Geometry question.... Angular movement

I'm old and my geometry is long gone. Weird question I cannot answer.
For sake of argument lets assume a rifle will put every round though the same hole......
What amount of movement at the bench would cause 1/4" impact movement at 100 yards? 1/16", 1/8"??
I've long forgotten how to calculate this. Maybe some of you big brain, smarter guys can tell me. Thanks.

The lawsuits are starting

All the folks across the nation that have been arrested for DUI while 100% sober so the pigs could get free pizza are starting to sue the municipalities that unlawfully arrested and charged them with crimes they were 100% innocent of . And the tax payers will foot the bill . And suddenly for no reason at all folks fucking hated them

16 deputies arrested in one county so far this year .

Charges include sexual assault , assault , DUI and false arrests

And they kept an innocent man in cuffs in a cell for 14 fucking hours . Because he was standing on the side of the road .

Bearx could County TX

Is this how it was in the good ol 1950’s ?

He didn’t have any face tattoos and wasn’t part of a protected class so they went full retard on him . Good tho g he didn’t have a dog or a woman with him .

416 Hellfire Load Development

Howdy everybody, I can’t seem to find a dedicated 416HF thread in the hide, so figured I would make one…

I’m considering building a 416HF for ELR on a Bat XL, for 515-550gr projectiles.

I know a lot of guys are currently using the 416HF on the ELR circuit. Is there anybody prepared to share information on the cartridge?

Best propellant?

Consensus on best projectile for the cartridge?

Ideal twist rate?

Things to stay away from?

Any good data or inside info?

And where the heck do I get me a MCS ELR stock

TIA

MARS Zeroing

Hey everyone,

I got a MARS, and the info sheet is pretty vague about zeroing/collimating the day optic and the WMLRF.

It says to use 100m, which I’m assuming 100y would be better if that’s what I’m shooting in. But beyond that it’s not really specific enough for my simple mind.

In using an Impact 4k previously it had the user measure HOB from the diving board and optical center line then essentially offsetting them (I think it was a 0.6 mil offset or something similar).

The MARS literature says nothing about that what so ever just. Just align the reticle with the vis laser at 100m, and aligning it with the range of engagement is even better. Kinda hilarious considering the device is for finding said range of engagement, but I digress.

Anyone have any advice or tips for how to maximize this things ability? It’s going on a field match rifle so the whole idea is less gear to mess with and accurate range and firing solutions as fast as possible.

Thank y’all.

Pistol Reloading Issue I cant figure out

So I had a bunch of 9mm loaded not too long ago. Just range ammo using some 115gr XTP that I got free from Hornaday on their free bullet promo.
Loaded up a bunch and never did anything any different than I ever have.
Had bought a new carry gun in 9mm so wanted to get to the range and shoot it.
Get there and the first mag I made about 7 rounds and the gun locks up, and I mean locks up solid.
Finally got it free and notice the round in the chamber the bullet had pushed back in the case...Kind of weird, never had it happen before.
So loaded up and shot again. Made it about 5 or so rounds and it did the same thing.
Got my other 9mm out and it happened again.
So stopped shooting and went home.
Got to looking and there were a bunch of rounds in the 100 count box that would just push back in the case.
So checked all I had done and out of about 500 rounds, about half would push back.
So checked my dies and reset them and loaded a few dummy rounds and did a push test and again the bullet would push back into the case.
Had the taper set just like the instructions said. Nothing worked right.
Probably reset the dies 5-6 different times, took them apart and cleaned them. Nothing worked.
I cant figure it out at all. I don't know if its a die issue or what.
I had some loaded from a few years ago still that were done with a RCBS die and they are all fine.

The only difference in the two is the ones I had issues with were the Hornady bullet and loaded with Hornady dies. And the others were just round nose bullets loaded with RCBS dies.

Contacted Hornady and they said I could send the dies, bullets, brass in and they would check them. But I don't understand what might be the issue.

Not new to reloading pistols as I load for 45acp, 40S&W and 357 also and have zero problems with them.

Anyone by chance have any ideas?
