6.5 CM ammo Question

Been working with my Bergara B-14 HMR 20inch factory barrel at 100 -300 yards. I’ve been shooting factory 140gr and 130 gr have used most of the brands available,I’ve had very good results with mosts so i was wondering about 120-129gr factory ammo I don’t see many reviews on the lighter 120-129gr.I understand most guys here are shooting well over 100yrds so 120gr is way to light for greater distances but would be interested in any results or input on the factory 120-129gr.

Will this brass still make accurate ammo

11 firings.
Alpha munitions 6.5cm OCD LRP brass
Ive Annealed every firing. Now theres these wonky ridges on the insides of the necks and can feel them slightly on the outside but theyre not as pronounced as the insides are. When I resize I always full length size using the sac die with the expander mandrel inside so its all in one step. Does anyone know what causes this? And how to avoid this in the future? My other lots of brass dont have them at 5 and 4 firings.

SOLD JP APAC Chassis with weights and bag rider and other extras

This is the shorter, earlier gen version of the APAC. This chassis is awesome. Looks rad, balances great, and the folder is the best out there, hands down. Comes with heavy steel bag rider, two pairs of weights, QD mount, and spare hardware including a spare set of action screws, plus a SAP two-round quiver. I love this chassis and have run everything from a heavy 26" barreled PRS type setup in it, to my 20" 22lr (which also balances great with a pair of weights added out front). Just have too much stuff at the moment.

Tube has a couple of bumps, see pics, the usual scuffs. It's in great shape otherwise and functions fine. Note the MDT Elite grip is NOT included, but I can throw an Ergo tactical grip on there. I do not have the original box for this one, but I will pack it well.

SOLD

Accessories 300BLK and 223W Shorty Uppers - BCM, Faxon, Aero

The upper count has somehow increased again and I find the safe flooded with good stuff that needs to be rehomed. These are all nearly new, excellent condition, very low round count builds. The 300blk uppers were both designed around a soft-shooting lower (Sprinco yellow and Spike's Tactical lighter weight buffer) and they "just run" with that setup, the 10.5 didn't even need an AGB. Subs and supers all run like a top. Not gonna lie, I ended up getting my hands on the 6" Faxon 1/5 barrel which is the only reason I'm selling the 7.5" upper. That thing is is like a DIY Sig Rattler and it's awesome.

1. 300BLK 10.5" bbl / 9" quad rail handguard, black
  • BKF AR15 10.5″ 300 BLK DRP Profile Pistol Length 4150 CMV 1/7 Twist Barrel

  • ~40 rounds on the barrel
  • $375 shipped
2. 300BLK 7.5" barrel/6" handguard, black

  • Silencerco ASR muzzle brake is Rocksetted and timed, I'm basically throwing it in the deal but if you really don't want it I can take it off before shipping.
  • no charging handle or bcg
  • $600 invested, 50 rounds on the barrel to tune it
  • $450 shipped

3. 5.56 12.3" bbl / 10.3" handguard - complete color matched ODG
  • Ballistic Advantage Performance Series 5.56 Hanson 12.3" Barrel

  • Aero Precision ATLAS R-ONE M-LOK AR-15 Handguard - ODG Anodized - 10.3"
  • Strike industries charging handle (ODG)
  • $325 shipped
All of these uppers were fun projects that have been supplanted by other fun projects, you know how it goes. They all run great and shoot well, and they are all in like new condition. Contact me directly if interested in any of these, I take PayPal (F&F with no notes) or Venmo, and I pack my stuff well and ship quickly.

Reloading Equipment 1 time fired Federal Gold Medal Match .308 win brass

Hello Hide,

Up for sale is a bunch of 1 time fired, Federal .308 brass since I no longer have a 308.

This brass was all from Federal Gold Medal Match 175 gr 308 or the mil contract over run of the same ammo. Commercial 175 ammo headstamp is: FC 308 WIN. Contract overrun ammo headstamp is: FC 20. Other than the headstamp the cases look identical and shot the same out of the rifle. Brass should be one lot, as it came from 2 cases of 500 that I purchased. All cases were fired through my LMT MWS and have been deprimed and ultrasonic cleaned. Some pieces have minor dings, but general condition is excellent.

Brass quantity:

FC20 - 467
FC 308 WIN - 448

I am asking $0.35/rd + $10 shipping or 400 pieces for $125 shipped. Shipped to the lower 48 states via USPS. Payment may be through Zelle or Venmo.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Vivacious

DPMS kitty kat

Anyone here ever play with one? My son saw one at the LGS, it's kind of growing on me. Not actually a semi-rifle, but you get the point.

Tested four different barrels for my LMT 5.56mm MRP today, unscientific findings inside with photos

Several months ago, I bought a LMT MRP 5.56mm rifle during a Black Friday sale. I'm a bit of an accuracy enthusiast with AR rifles, but I also like a practical weight carbine suitable for general use.

Over the past several months, I purchased 4 different barrels for this rifle, I figured I would share my results as it might be helpful to others. I spent considerable time with each barrel over the months, each one has at least 200 rounds downrange. Today's results were fairly representative of my more extensive testing with each barrel.

Today, I fired two 5 round groups at 100 yards with each barrel, except the Bartlein barrel as this is the primary barrel I use and it has already proven to be extremely accurate. I only fired one group with the Bartlein barrel to re-zero the scope as it was getting dark. I was going to use a 32x nightforce scope for this test, but I was pressed for time, so I used the vortex 1-10 razor that lives on this rifle. All shots felt pretty good, I don't think there was much in the way of shooter error. Ideally I would have used 10 round groups, but again I was pressed for time.

All groups were fired using handloads consisting of 73 grain Berger bullets and IMR 8208. This particular load shoots as well as anything I've tried in every AR I own.

First up, the factory LMT 16 Chrome lined Barrel. This produced groups measuring 1.53 and 1.72, velocity was 2,573 with an extreme spread of 50 and SD of 15.9
1000047628.jpg

Next up was the most disappointing to me, this is an $800 Factory LMT 5r cut rifled 16" barrel. I spent considerable time with this Barrel when I bought it, it is frustrating because it wants to shoot better, but it almost always throws a shot in every group.
1000047631.jpg

Next up are two barrels that I had D Wilson convert, I'm very pleased with both of them. The first is a Daniel Defense 14.5 heavy SOCOM profile carbine length CHF Chrome lined barrel. This thing consistently hovers at or just under 1 MOA. Ejection is at 3 o'clock, it's gassed really well for a fighting carbine. Groups were .837" and .973" ( ignore the upper right target, I shot this unsupported as I was just getting on paper)
1000047606.jpg

Lastly, I re-zeroed the Bartlein barrel that I primarily run, probably pushing 1,000 rounds through this Barrel at this point. It consistently puts five rounds between .3" and .75", with numerous 10 round groups that have been in the .6's. The first cold/very clean barrel shot went slightly high, the next 4 went into .347", group size was .744" . It's worth noting that the Bartlein barrel was much faster than the 16" LMT factory barrels, 2,680 FPS, vs. an average of 2,580 FPS for the two 16" factory LMT barrels that I shot today.

1000047627.jpg

All groups were shot with a Vortex 1-10 razor, not the best optic for shooting groups, but it's very practical and it works great for the type of shooting I do. Here are some additional photos showing the barrels, rifle, stuff like that

Not sure how to “sight in” my glock

I have a gen 5 Glock 45 that I put a zaffiri precision (spelling is probably wrong) slide and ported barrel on. I wanted to use irons so I put trijicon tough and bright sights on it and it shoots about 3 feet low at 25 yards. My shooting sucks so I had multiple other people who are decent to pretty good with a handgun shoot this thing and they all had the same results. What can I do to make the gun hit where I aim? Or do I just suck?

Firearms New Genesis Arms Gen 12 18”

I have a new/unfired Genesis Arms Gen12 18”. It’s CA configured with fixed stock and Juggernaut mag lock but can be converted for free states. Need the cash for a JP build. $2800
