I am thinking about getting the RRS Versa Ground Pod and a leveling base with ARCA clamp. After using my Two Vets tripod in the prone position and discovered how much easier it was to use than a bipod, I thought about getting a much shorter tripod.

Here's my Vudoo on the Two Vets tripod for use in the prone position. I found it much easier to aim the rifle with this method than pivoting around a bipod. There are also times when I would have to lift the front end of the rifle to shoot at another target with a bipod. Whereas, pivoting around the tripod was much easier.



Does anyone have any experience with the ground pod and/or leveling base? If so, what do you think?

Looking for a models or brands that use wide scope rings and long bases.

For instance, those of Spuhr’s are roughly 1.3” wide.

F3R’s are 1.15” wide.

Badger Ordnance MAX 50 and MDT Elite rings are 1” wide.

Spuhr stopped manufacturing their “long base” models ages ago (e.g. SP-4003).

Who else produces models with wide rings, and preferably - with long bases?

What the title asked. Just looking for some reasonable low cost 10x binoculars on the smaller side. Everything I see that’s low cost is fragile junk. And I remember when I was a kid (I’m 40 now) low cost tasco’s were alright so long as you didn’t just drop them on concrete but now everything low cost seems like pure junk.

Some are saying this was a 30 round mag that some of the SF and aviation guys bought mail order from US. 30 round at mags. I know they have been available, if not issued.

Some are saying that these were “field conversions,” putting an AR feed lips on an AK mag to increase capacity (which seems unlikely as AR mags are aluminum and AK mags were steel (and some Bakelite/polymer).

Any insights? Also interesting Grenade launcher configuration. Like an early 203.

Anything you recognize? Or built?

Selling a somewhat rare FDE Spuhr mount setup for 36mm scopes. The combo includes a 6002 mount (1.5" height, 0 moa cant) and A0029 diving board both in matching FDE. The shade of tan perfectly matches ZCO FDE scopes. Comes as shown.

After hours of research I am still coming up short on a fix for my feed issue.
Savage 110 6.5 creedmoor same issue 2 different mags.
I tried to post a video but I haven't figured that out yet. The pictures show a round that is incapable of moving forward, I have to move the bolt back slightly for the round to align properly with the bolt face before it will chamber.
