Hunting for a repo M40 walnut stock (my Beaver156 repo stock got slightly damaged)

My local gunsmith building my repo M40 "shooter" accidentally dropped my repo M40 stock on his shop floor...and the toe broke-off at the screw. Opps. If this had been an original M40 stock I'd be teary-eyed about it, but it's just a Beaver156 (eBay) repo stock, so I'm not upset about it. Accidents happen. Could that area be repaired? Possibly, but the repair would never be as strong as it should be for that area, so I'm looking for other options at this point.
Here's the damaged toe...

M40_stock_damage_2.jpeg

The eBay seller (Beaver156) doesn't have any short action M40 stocks listed at this time...but I really want this build completed in March 2025 if at all possible - so I can break-in the new Bartlein barrel, and then use this rifle at the upcoming CMP Eastern Games Vintage Sniper Rifle match in late April. 2025.

So here's my question: How fast can I get banned for making a WTB post outside the PX?
(Ouch, my apologizes for inadvertently violating the forum rules, just figured this might be an okay inquiry given the 'vintage sniper rifle' sub-forum is really the only area I have been active for the past decade , and I figured only us 'old school/vintage guys' might have a wooden M40 stock... My observation is the PX section doesn't exactly contain old school/obsolete stuff like an vintage M40 stock - at least not that I recall over the past decade. A prospective "vintage PX" section with perhaps pre-2000 stuff would be useful, as I honestly don't know many of the modern 3/4 letter acronyms used in the current PX section. Just an observation from a middle-aged (aka Gen X) shooter... On a happy note another vintage sniper rifle collector/aka "old school guy" came to my rescue with a proper vintage wooden stock that he offered me, probably in part out of pity for my project dilemma. Again, my apologizes if I inadvertently bent the rules.)

Here's my M40 project parts that I dropped off last month. I was never crazy about this stock as the forend is too thick, but the price was nice and it was available, but I'd like to find another stock at this point. Maybe another one of these Beaver156 stocks, or preferably one of those discontinued Taylor Precision stocks, or maybe even an early Remington PSS wooden stock, etc.

Any assistance (or tips where I could find a replacement M40ish stock) is greatly appreciated, just in case someone has a spare, thanks.

62 ELD-VTs and twist rate

Has anyone shot these in very cold conditions?
Every stability calculator I use shows these bullets are Marginally stable in cold temps with an 8 Twist and great with a 7 twist.

I've been slaughtering yotes with this bullet in a 7 twist 223 bolt gun at 3250 FPS with a 26" barrel.
Shot 4 this past weekend in -5 degree temps at ≈ 2600’ in South Dakota.

I ask because I'm looking to go to a 22 GT in order to use a 20" barrel and squeeze out a tad more velocity, 3450.
Nothing wrong really with the 223, but it would be nice to shorten my barrel for faster shots and getting in and out of the truck or side by side with a suppressor doing sets.

My only concern is blowing up the bullets, but it hasn't done it yet with the 223 and from what I’ve been able to gather these bullets have been shooting better in the 7 twists. However, maybe I’m being bias based on my experience. I’d like to see others experience with this bullet and twist rates. They have been excellent on yotes.

AXSR AICS Chassis | Will AW Mags "work" better? Impact trigger hanger interference.

Just picked up this awesome AXSR chassis for my Impact BA. I've learned to expect fitment issues with these trigger hangers so here's my question:

The chassis has a "magazine stop" if that's what it is called. I removed it because the front of the trigger hanger interferes with it. My single stack mags feed flawlessly - no issues at all. However, without the "mag stop", a little upward pressure on the mags place the feed lips in front of the bolt and it cannot forward travel. Not a big issue, but I am asking if AW double stack mags and their different feed lip geometry would allow the bolt to pass over?

I've had some custom builds where upward mag pressure touches but does not impede forward motion of the bolt, and one or two that did, so this is not new to me. I had AW mags a long time ago, but my 6.5cm rounds kept springing out into the dirt so I switched to single stack ever since.

Bird Flu (H5N1) is Bullshit.

They approved giving an MRNA jab to commercial laying hens. As per the usual it's about a payday and not science. What have we all learned about applying leaky vaccines in the middle of supposed pandemics? What have we learned about heard immunity?

This being right around the corner makes sense now after seeing one of our newly reactivated "not a glowie" accounts harping on what he called "sceince" posting fervently in the bearpit after a 12 year hiatus.🤣🤣 While hitting the scary buzzwords. Worse than Ebola, worse than Marburg, doomsday virus leaving bodies stacked in the streets. 😷😷😷

If we look at the policey, if we look at what is being done they are making sure this continues by culling every chicken that gets it rather than breeding birds that survive.

Are they using unreliable inaccurate PCR tests in these bird houses like they did to sell the covid jabs and lock downs? How many houses don't even take the test but are culled for possible exposure?

I would bet if anything this jab will make it more likley to be able to jump to other animals. I see this is just as important to stop as the covid vax mandates.

Sounds like a cheap solution..

We have a shit ton of federal land….

40 acres and a mule? Sounds like a great solution, spike! Anyone who wants 40 cares and a mule and will get to work farming it… building a homestead… making g something of it… gets title after a bunch of years

It’s how Oklahoma and the West was built!

Lets start with Spike. Give up those hundreds of millions of dollars. Your jet. Your mansions. Your Lakers tickets. Your little racist directing job trashing white people in movies that only liberal white people watch…

And get your ass behind a mule!

Oh and that’s 40 acres and a mule per family. For actual descendants of slaves. Not people showed up from Jamaica in 1992…

Careful what you wish for dumbass. Muleskinning is real work!
