Excited to Learn and Share

Hi everyone!
I’m excited to be here. I’ve recently been diving deeper into the world of firearms—mainly focused on marksmanship, safe handling, and gear like optics (currently experimenting with LPVOs and red dots). I’m still learning, but I really enjoy the technical side of things—cleaning, maintenance, upgrades, and sighting in.

I value safety above all and enjoy connecting with others who are passionate about responsible gun ownership and continuous skill-building. I’m also interested in gear reviews, range setups, and real-world performance tips.

Looking forward to learning from you all and sharing what I pick up along the way!

Woman flees to Africa to escape racist America. Says she messed up.

'Big ass spiders, big ass lizards and they ain't got no snacks.'

Plus, they got shit over here that'll eat 'yo ass. Yeah, like your fellow tribesmen.

Africans supposedly have a low opinion of African Americans and her race card didn't work there.

Newbie from Cape Town

Greetings from sunny Cape Town in South Africa I’m new to the long distance Bolt action game but come from an avid pistol shooter background.

I joined a new range to test out my flux radar and ended up spending more time learning how to shoot a .22 rifle and now I am busy building a 6.5 Creedmoor With the plan to learn how to use it properly and accurately and then I can go baboon hunting

Gunsmithing Bullet tumbling

I had a friend at a law enforcement agency call me this week wondering about bullets tumbling really bad in a lot of ammo they’d purchased several thousand rounds of for practice ammo. He said they were tumbling at really close distance and the tac guys were getting light baffle strikes. I’m no expert but, figured I could rule out a few things and figure it out and I’m stumped. They’re 62 grain 5.56 cartridges being shot out of rifles that regularly shoot that bullet weight they are 1:7 and 1:8 twist rifles and the bullets showed similar results across multiple rifles a few larue and other high end rifles. They paper tested them and they’re fully keyholing at 7 yards. The guys shooting aren’t dummies by any means. I assumed the bullets were undersized but they’re measuring an average of .2253 (can slightly oversized cause tumbling?) the boat tails are scuffed terrible but I imagine that’s par for mass produced factory fmj. I milled 10 of the bullets in half and everything on the inside appears evenly filled and normal from what I have seen. I don’t have any pride here I’d just like to help these guys out since they’ve purchased a boat load of this stuff, and probably are going to need some reasoning when they send it back or attempt to.

Which 2 Stage Trigger for my GA-Precision Hospitaller with Templar V-II Action?

I have a GA-Precision Hospitaller in 308 caliber with the Templar V-II Action that I would like to find a High Quality 2 Stage Match Trigger to replace the Single Stage Trigger. The Single Stage Trigger in it now is way too light and I actually prefer the 2 Stage model.

Its been a real long time since I owned a Bolt Action GAP Rifle and I can't remember the 2 Stage Trigger that I swapped in my old Crusader? I think it was a Huber 2 Stage Trigger but not 100% sure?

Which 2 Stage Trigger would be Best for my GAP Hospitaller? And do they consider the Templar V-II Action the same as a Remington 700 Action?

Thanks for your help.

PRS Rimfire Production & NRL22 Base Class Rifle Scope Selection

The new 2026 NRL22 rules are out. The MSRP limit for the Base Division has been increased to $1650 USD.

I’ve gotten a few questions about gear selection, so I put together a simple list to help. I’m sure I’ve missed a few options. If you have any other recommendations, feel free to drop them in the comments and I’ll add them to the list.

Best way to use it: go to “File” → “Make a Copy” to save it to your own Google Drive so the checkboxes and formulas will work, or download it as an Excel file.

Hopefully this helps new shooters pick their first Production or Base Class rig.

Optics Triggercam 2.1 For Sale

Triggercam 2.1
$425 shipped

Couple years old but works great

* Read this *
When I got it the battery with full charge only went to 5% on the battery level. The battery works as it should. According to manual it showed I needed to update the firmware and when I did now it goes to 10%. Again battery last like it should but even at 5% when it dropped to 4% it was like 80% etc

Maybe another firmware update will bring it back I’m not sure. I just don’t use it like I wanted as it won’t fit the ZCO ocular which is my primary optic now

Comes with items shown below as well as a charging cord not shown in pics

Couple scratches shown in pic from normal handling. Lens is great
