Here’s the details: Origin short action, 300 WSM, 20” fluted barrel, Peak 44 Bastion stock bedded. This is a lightweight hunting rig and the barrel weighs 2.6#. I’ve kind of been pulling my hair our trying to get better than 1” average groups. I’m not going into detail, but I’ve tried a lot of bullet and powder combos and now have around 300 rounds down the tube. The best groups have been with 210 ABLR’s with 67.3 grains of R26 in Lapua cases with F215 primers; I’ve been annnealing after every shot giving single digit SD’s. Until now, my muzzle device has been an Area 419 Hellfire brake. I removed the brake last weekend and shot it with my Dead Air Nomad TiXC direct threaded on. It shoots so much better with the suppressor, I wish I had tried it earlier. I would just shoot it all the time suppressed, but as life would have it, the gun is in a commy state half the time, so no suppressor when there.

How do I make it shoot the same group size not suppressed as suppressed? Obviously, removing the Aera 419 Hellfire is a good start. Perhaps I should try it without a muzzle device? I could also try it with a 2A Arms titanium brake as well as its lighter and might have better barrel harmonics. Any other ideas as to how best accomplish this? Pics below show how much better it shoots with the suppressor.

500 yard group off tripod suppressed. The wind was calm and my Kestrel 5700 link with AB suggested .25 min left adjustment, obviously wrong, I need to sort that out.

I have an extra, Remington 700 footprint long action KRG X-ray chassis with a custom Duracoat camo paint job for sale. I just completed the paint job last weekend. This chassis comes as seen in the pictures. It comes with a full length arca rail, spigot with arca, 2 flush cups, tooless butt, bag rider and a 300wM CIP accurate mag. I will also include the standard small polymer bag rider, misc hardware a KRG sticker and additional lop spacers. I have the bags all of the excessories came in and possibly the chassis box.
Thing to note. The forend and grips were FDE originally and the butt section was black. The original fde butt section cracked and I had an extra black butt section laying around a while back. This setup was my hunting rifle up to the last month where I went ultralight. I can show pics if needed before I painted the camo. FYI. The stock was sand blasted and degreased prior to paint. The Duracoat instructions were followed and this is not the 1st time I have painted a chassis. Regardless the chassis is being sold as is.
I am asking $750 $700 OBO for everything mentioned above as a package deal shipped within the continental US. I will ship USPS flat rate or UPS ground. Whichever method is cheaper.

How important are they? I have scopes with and without. It probably would have saved me once or twice. But if I have a zero stop, I can just dial down to zero and back up from there. I have shot competition before but not a ton. Is this something that any of you actually use in hunting and competition or just a novelty. I was looking at a Viper 5-25x50 FFP for some local NRL stuff and hunting. It does not have a Rev Indicator on it.

Considering going back to an armboard or at least having one available for some competitions. I've used Sunrise before but recently saw the Sun and Shadow one. Anyone own both and can give a comparison?

I have a basically brand new PS. Took it out, mounted to take pics and play with it. Super neat scope. It has xtr pro glass in 99% sure. It’s solid in any case. Scr2 mil reticle. The ballistics computer is spot on. Dial to your range and send it. The built in level and match timer are very cool as is the wind hold in the HUD. You can customize the HUD and do ballistic profiles through the Burris connect app. Super easy to use. It’s a little big for what I got it for so re-homing. Will sell outright or trade for things like a mk5 3.6-18 pr2, Steiner msr2 or an nx8 mil xt. Would consider other scope with a cash plus on my end. Atacr etc. Possibly an LPVO if it’s the right one.
