Model 7 Follower Differences

Hi All,
I had picked a NOS Model 7 action with a 223 bolt face many years ago when Brownell's was selling them around the time of the Remington bankruptcy. It was a 223 bolt face and intended from the factory for a 300 BLK.

Anyways, I managed to stumble on some other inexpensive NOS parts, most namely a surplus Remington Defense barrel and HS Precision stock, and ended up screwing together a complete rifle. The bottom metal is PTG steel BDL.

The problem I have is that I can't seem to find the appropriate follower to feed 300 BLK. I tried a 3-D printed unit intended for 223, but this could only hold 1 in the magazine with the rest of the rounds dumping out when I tried to feed from the mag. It did feed the first round from the mag without issue.

I have no idea where to go about finding one of these, or what alternate follower to use that would also work. The only other option I could think of would be to get the PTG bottom metal that takes AR-15 mags, but this is on backorder and who knows if this would actually ever be available.

I appreciate the collective wisdom of the Hide mind. I would also consider modifying an existing follower if that is an option.

Accessories KESTREL 5700 SPORTSMAN WITH LINK--PRICE DROP

For sale: Kestrel 5700 Sportsman with Link
I have used this one as a back up for a couple of range trips and that’s it. It was linked up with Sig Binos and worked flawlessly. Super clean and will be returned to factory settings so it will be ready to go.

PM me with any questions and first “I’ll take it” posed in this thread will trump PMs and texts.

Thank you and stay safe

Is Homan guilty?

This smells to high heaven.

I seriously hope this whole “Brown paper bag with $50K cash” thing is a huge nothingburger. Because if Homan is guilty of taking a paltry $50K for whatever (assuming illegally or illicitly), then he hit the ICE Battleship broadside with a torpedo.

Reserving judgement, but if Trump tries to duck-and-cover for him, this is a huge issue.

Image Stabilized Binoculars-Law Enforcement Use?

Hey guys,

I've been looking for a pair of binoculars for work. I currently have a pair of issued Steiner bino's which seem to work well but long hours behind these things with no tripod leaves me feeling somewhat sea sick. I'd like to pick the hives brain about image stabilized binos for use in a professional capacity. Not much changes between recreational and duty use but first hand experience using the product as a handheld versus a tripod mounted setup would be nice.

I'd need really good low light performance with a very rugged construction as these will get bumped around in my vehicle quite a bit. The smaller the form factor the better. I'm picturing myself looking like Frank Drebbin rom Naked Gun with a GIANT set of binoculars pointed out my window.

A range finder could be nice but i don't need any ballistic solutions software. IF it has it, i'm not going to complain as I can use this off of the range too.

What suggestions do we have?

Thanks in advance!

Nothing new about Kestrel and ballistic apps

Depending on which rifle I’m shooting (one with a on weapon laser rangefinder) or using laser rangefinder binoculars and their corresponding mobile apps (GeoBallistics, AB Quantum, Sig Sauer BDX or the Kestrel Link app) I have developed a “cheat sheet” suitable for old shooters like myself that appreciate gentle reminders.
