This match is a modified version of a combat excellence in arms match, and is especially suited to new shooters using rack grade rifles and ball (mil surplus) ammunition. Semi-automatic rifles and pistols are preferred. Optical sights, iron sights, match rifles, or any safe rifle are allowed. It is not necessary to participate in the pistol phase if one chooses not to. With prior request, every effort will be made to provide arms and ammunition to those in need.

SIGHTERS: Each relay will have a 5-minute unlimited sighter period at the 600yd line before the start of record fire. Coaching will be allowed and standard “come downs” for 500-300-200yd will be given if the shooter lacks ballistic data.



EQUIPMENT (Minimal): Hearing and eye protection are required. Mats or ground cloths are allowed at the 600yd line. MTU jackets or web gear is permitted, but not required. No heavy competition coats, shooting carts, shooting stools, tripods, spotting scopes, or other specialized competition shooting gear allowed. Use of bi-pods or backpacks for support while shooting prone stages is allowed. All other stages only sling support is allowed.



Recommended Equipment: Small pack, binoculars, eye/ear protection, ammunition, 2-4 rifle magazines. 2-4 pistol magazines, magazine carrier, pistol belt, holster, ballistic data card (DOPE), food, water, sunscreen, pen/pencil and notebook. Shooters will be moving with rifle, pistol, and all gear from 600yd, 500yd, 300yd, 200yd, and into the target pits. Shooters are highly encouraged to have all gear on your person and organized so that they can move, and shoot without delay.



PARKING: During match vehicles may be parked near pits or behind the 600 yd line. Vehicles will not be moved between yard lines during live fire. Shooters will advance downrange on foot between stages.

Well just finished reading SB 279 which has been introduced in the NM Senate. and the gun grabbing commies in Santa Fe are hoping to outdo the commie's in CO. Basically outlaws and gas operated weapons and would require SA pistols to have a fixed magazine. In addition, current owners would be required among other things to register them. Funny thing the sponsors of this legislation are all dumber than a box of rocks and have trouble putting a single sentence together no less write this legislation.

Just been experimenting with AR’s and looking to top one of my other rifles off with a NF 4-16 or 4-20(MIL-XT). Will consider that as trade.

Recently, I've seen a lot of our fellow "Bear Pitters" kvetch a lot about all the $$$ going to aid The Ukraine. Just so that I confirm my understanding of the issues, I have a couple of questions:

1) Main concern - Is the issue that we should be spending those $$$ for US concerns and not "foreign" ones (i.e. "America First"), or is it deeper than that?

2) Why did the Biden Administration put so much of our $$$ into Ukraine spending? Were they getting some kind of Payola/Graft in return? Was Hunter getting his "10% for the 'Big Guy' or something?" Were they counting on USA based Ukrainians to help them win in an election? Or, perhaps, was it simply to support a group of people that opposed Putin & the Russians? I guess I just can't wrap my head around why the Biden clan was so adamant about sending all our $$$ over there. How did it benefit them?

L3Harris Light Weapon Thermal Sight (LWTS) is a handheld and weapon-mounted thermal weapon sight. The thermal imaging capability of the LWTS allows for long wave infrared observation and target identification under adverse conditions including light rain, smoke, light snow, and low light to total darkness. The LWTS utilizes leading edge 17 micron technology in a 640×480 uncooled microbolometer. The high resolution display, combined with state of the art image processing and electronics provide exceptional imagery and long mission run times on a single battery load. The LWTS is highly versatile, being able to deploy as a stand-alone thermal weapon scope or a clip-on thermal weapon sight in front of an existing day optic. As part of the current USSOCOM contract, the LWTS (AN/PAS-13G(V)1) is designed to integrate with weapon systems outfitted with other SOPMOD optics. It is rated as a short range clip on sight that works best with 1-4x optics such as the Aimpoint M68CCO (Comp M4s) and Trijicon ACOG. When paired with another day optic, the LWTS produces less than 2 MOA shift in point of impact. However, the LWTS can be used alone with its internal reticles. This gives operators extreme nighttime capability when paired with head-mounted night vision goggles. The LWTS is intended for light weapons utilizing the standard issue 5.56x45mm and 7.62x51mm NATO cartridge. The size and weight make it ideal for tactical small arms such as the FN SCAR-MK16/17, M4/M16, SR25, and other 5.56/7.62 platforms. Final preparations are underway right now at the launchpad at Cape Canaveral as a SpaceX Falcon 9 single unit heavy hauler is set to lift off at 7:48 PM EST to the International Space Station. NASA astronauts Suni Williams and Butch Wilmore, who had been stranded aboard the ISS for 8 months due to mechanical issues in their Boeing Starliner shuttle boat, are scheduled to return home tonight aboard SpaceX's Dragon capsule, which is already docked and ready for departure at the station and awaiting fueling by the arriving crew tonight.

Tonight's Crew-10 launch will be piloted and commanded by 4 SpaceX astronauts. Veteran USAF combat pilots Anne McClain and Nichole Ayers, Japanese JAXA astronaut Takuya Onishi, and Russian cosmonaut Krill Peskov.

I use two - a (not made in China) Wilton Bullet Vise and an Orange/Area419 Setup. Adding in the Orange with the Area419 package really made tasks like removing/installing muzzle devices much easier since I don't have a dedicated barrel vise.

Before I bought the Orange, I almost bought the Short Action Customs Kit several different times. Has anyone used it? It looks very nice and not too expensive for what you get.
