Optic choices for $3500 and less?

I’m currently assembling a rifle for my daughter and I (she’s 9) it started off as a bergara b14r in a MPA BA comp chassis and I’ve been spotting her impacts more than I’ve been shooting lately lol. So the plan is to drop a 6.5 creedmoor barreled action into the chassis and extend our ranges a bit.

-Gun Details - Will be a competition contour 6.5 creed 26”, MPA BA chassis, big horn orgin action etc. I want it 20lbs+ so she is extremely comfortable behind it.

-Shooting style - We don’t compete we just shoot for fun. I want the 6.5 CM to be a 1000 yard and in gun for her and my plans is to later have a 7ss, 7saum barrel spun up and stretch out to a mile.

-Conditions - We shoot no matter rain or shine but the optic must be good in low light as this will serve as a deer hunting gun as well (we shoot from a bench and tripods) we rarely walk over 100 yards to a stand so a heavy gun will not be a problem.

-Specifications needed - Needs to be FFP and in mils other than that the heavier the better. Considering the 7-35 magnification range this go around.

My experience with good quality glass is a leupold Mark 5 5-25x56 and a few lower end Night force scopes. The mark 5 does everything well so I would like a scope at least on par with it or a slight step up.

Help me pick some binos

Hey guys, I have a set of old Cabela's intensity HDs. They had a problem and Cabela's warrantied them for me. They basically gave me a gift card so I'm trying to figure out how to best use my money. These were 12x50 but I think I'm going to go up to 15x56. I am just starting to play around at longer ranges.

I looked through the new Intensity ED 15x56. Also the Vortex Crossfire and Diamondback HD. I love the idea of the vortex warranty. The new intensities just have a 1-year warranty. The crossfire was the same price as the intensity but looked way less clear. I was really surprised that the Intensities also looked much more clear and crisp than the 70$ more expensive Diamondbacks. And I he fit and finish was much better as well. My price point is around 300 ish. I'm not sure how much l would have to spend to get the glass clarity of a vortex to match the intensity.

Also, l could go another direction since l was planning on buying a rangefinder soon anyway. l looked at the Sig Kilo Canyon 5000 rangefinding binoculars. They were 10x and nowhere near the clarity, and 600$ but I wouldn't be buying a rangefinder either. I have no experience with rangefinding binoculars. It just seems like a cool way to combine two pieces of kit into one.

How would you guys spend my money? But it has to be from Cabela's.

Kimber M84 308 barrel options

as the title states I have an M84 I’m looking to rebarrel. This rifle has never shot decent but I didn’t know any better at the time of purchase. Bought a bore scope and was disappointed in the way things looked.

I like the feel of the action as well as the rifles weight, but I want more accuracy.

Are these actions worth getting trued and rebarreled? If so, what barrel manufactures do you all suggest?

Northern Wyoming born and raised.

Hey folks. I'm a Wyoming native that grew up in the mountains hunting, shooting and fishing with my dad and I intend to carry that on with my own children. I am a passionate mule deer hunter first and foremost but enjoy other species as well. I took my first few animals with a Winchester model 94 30-30 and my dad bought me a used Savage model 11 .308 when I was 13. Ever since I have loved the .308 in general, and have taken the vast majority of my game with that cartridge. In the last couple years I've become obsessed with higher performance in my rifles (on a budget) and bought a bergara wilderness ridge. Maybe not the perfect choice overall but I've gotten it to do 1k consistently with 168 gr federal gold medal match and I'm in the process of doing it with my own reloads. I'm here to learn and offer any knowledge I can to others. Cheers and happy shooting.

I know this is "snipers fieldcraft" but I know we all love a good day smakin some dogs. Anyone come up with a chest rig to manage a remote, mouth calls and bonus cookie if you got an ass cushion to keep you're feet from fallin asleep. I use lanyards currently and getting annoyed with them. Just wanna see the ideas with current available products you modified or found thay work for you.

SOLD FS/FT Schmidt Bender Competition scope 10x60x56

***Edit*** SOLD
$3,200 shipped/insured. Or trade Kahles 540 or zco 840.

I’m looking to sell or trade my like brand new Schmidt & Bender 10x60x56 CMII high performance competition scope. It’s basically brand new, not a mark on it. Works 100% as it should. Comes in the original box, has the paperwork, Allen key, objective lens covers and cleaning cloth included. The original box does show a little beat up but that was the just the box where it was stored.
I did special order the SB sunshade and matching throw lever. I planned on canceling that order but I could receive it and sell it as a separate deal. Germany is projecting April delivery of them.
It has the first focal plane, Match fine line reticule, illuminated, with locking turrets.
These are the clockwise turrets.
Positive tactile clicks, pin pops up on the elevation turret after 1 rotation so you know the turret is in the 2nd row of adjustments.

Looking for $3,400 shipped/insured or trade
for Kahles 5/40 or Zco 8/40 scope or certificate that I can buy another scope. Make an offer!

Garmin Xero C1 Pro Sale Trepidation

I should be thrilled that this chronograph is finally on sale. I've been planning on purchasing one for quite a while. But I get a little skeptical with a manufacturer sale that appears to be at every retail outlet.

Does anyone have some inside information, or suspect, that Garmin is liquidating stock so that they can then release an improved, updated version?
