I have for sale a spare cover I designed for the Vortex Impact 4000. I have a friend who asked me to make a cover for that massive front glass.

3D printed on an industrial printer this is not some junk looking part that was scraped off an Ender 3 in some guys basement. Layer lines are kept to an absolute minimum. Made out of Nylon 12 and dyed black these can take a beating. Easy to pop on or off to the range finder. Tested to make sure the ranging functions still work properly.

Looking to get some advice on a long range setup. I have a Remington 700 Sendero SF ii in 300 win mag. I bought the gun new in 2014 and it hasn’t had one round put through it yet. She’s been a safe queen, but just by handling it, I can tell I do not like the feel of the HS precision stock on it, which is why I think it has stayed a safe queen. So here’s my dilemma: put it on another chassis that I will love, or sell it and build one? If I put it on another chassis, the mixed reviews I’ve read on this particular rifle make me think there’s still a chance I’d want to do more to it (barrel issues from this era of Remington, and a trigger upgrade). Other reviews make me think i will fall in love with it. So the only way to tell, is take it to the range before upgrading the chassis, correct? If I do that, now it is not an “unfired” rifle, which is a good selling point in my book, in case I do want to sell it and build a new one. I’m leaning towards just running what I have, and finding a chassis that I will enjoy, especially since that is the cheaper route, and since I already own the gun. I just don’t want to regret investing in this current setup, if for some reason this rifle doesn’t like to group like I’m hoping it will. Curious what opinions you all may have on this. Thank you in advance!

I finally had a chance to push it to 1000, I verified at 500 and 600 and everything was looking very good.
I wish the groups looked a little better but humbled, I had impacts on my first volley and before it got dark this was my next two group attempts. The wind to no wind at 3:00 made it interesting with 2.25 mils of spin drift when it got calm and then a breeze

Long time lurker, finally signed up. Have read many threads over the years on this site that has helped me. Just a question for you pro’s out there. What is your opinion on Seekins bolt action rifles? After 2 years of contemplating a better bolt action rifle, came down to either a RPR or a Seekins. I wanted a 24 inch barrel. Only Seekins sold one in 308. Bought the seekins HAVAK HIT. Not the pro. Still in the process of finding the right pill and powder for 1000 yards. Been reloading for 10 years. Just looking for opinions. Thanks.
