Optics Leica Geovid Pro AB+ Binos

Like new pair of Leica Geovid Pro 10x42 binos with Applied Ballistics. I bought these new from Leica a few months ago. The quality and function of these is unbelievable, I actually think they're built better built than my Swaro NL pures. I'm simply preferring a handheld rangefinder for bow hunting so I'm gonna switch to the Leica monocular version of these. Comes in original box with all accessories.

$2900 shipped. PM me to discuss payment options.

Possible trade for a Desert Tech M2/A2 chassis.

Rifle Scopes New Nightforce MPVO????

Anyone have any insight on a new Nightforce MPVO coming out for shot show? All the nightforce folks I’ve ask about it have hinted towards something new coming out to replace the 2.5-10x42 NXS. You can’t even order the 10x NXS with the military discount anymore. I would love to see a 2-12x42 with a 30mm tube 28oz or less with nx8 or better glass, capped windage, zero hold turret, FFP or SFP wouldn’t matter to me. FC DMX reticle if it is FFP.

The perfect suppressor host for hunting

Hear me out,
Why isn't there a desire [or enough of a desire] for a light, packable, big bore, suppressor host?

For people that chase "quiet" and also want to hunt with said quiet system, most are left with 300blk which is not ideal.
Why is there not an ideal caliber designed for throwing ~400gr pils at 1000fps out of a bolt action or single shot to get the most out of a quiet subsonic system meant for taking down game in swamps, thick woods, or near neighborhoods [where you don't want to bother people with muzzle report or a bleeding deer running through their yard]?
Why is there not an easily packable package that breaks down into a backpack to host such an ideal caliber and its can?

The best attempts I've seen recently are 338ARC, 8.6BO and the like. The best still isn't ideal. They're always in calibers that favor gas guns [which isn't ideal for maximizing quiet], and the calibers/barrel twist always sacrifice for both subs and supers, and aren't typically optimized for heavy subs. Most of these calibers aren't even factory loaded heavier than ~305gr either. Not to mention overall bullet diameter in 30cal or 338cal isn't anything to write home about at subsonic speeds. If you're going to go slow, then go big! We need a 45cal or 50cal heavy hitter, but where are they at?

I'm starting a project to put together something which fits this criteria, but I'm on a budget and I don't reload. What to do?
The best idea that I have is chopping down a Handi-Rifle in 45LC to 16" and having it threaded, then running it with heavies and my Fly45.
I just wish there were better options.

Optics Trijicon Tenmile 5-50x56

This is a "as new" Trijicon Tenmile 5-50x56. It's never been out of the house. I bought it for an F-Class build that got sold. The optic is in flawless condition with no marks, scratches or imperfections. I'm asking $1400 shipped.

This old ammo box

So I found this old wooden ammo box in an antique store in New Mexico. It has nice tongue and groove construction with steel hardware in good shape. It's on the small side so I'm thinking it was for pistol ammo. The only markings are 49 -1- 8. I assume that means year of manufacture1949 but not sure. I have a couple of questions if anybody knows the answers.

1. Country of origin?
2. What is the circular indentation for underneath the handle?
3. What is the slot for on the end that looks like it might hold a roll of quarters?

K-Bars TPGrips is the bomb

I have a Benchmade 375 that I just couldn't get happy with the feel of.
It is one of the few knives I have that I will actually use for everything and not baby.

I stumbled onto TPGrips on IG. He does custom grips on demand for several fixed blades including the Nimravus and Adamas from BenchMade. Several materials to choose from and then several standard machine patterns to choose from with various fine or course textures.

I made my choices, the grips were machined to my order and I received all in about a week. Very easy to work with and seems to have a great rep.
I chose very basic utility grip for Gulf South humidity and expected use.

He is primarily on IG. His contact and pics of his work can be found at tpgrips / [email protected]

Tuning a 1911?

I have a 1911 that is having an issue where about once every couple of mags, the slide stop engages. My research suggests this is an issue where the cartridges in the mag can hit the slide stop and holds the action open. The remedy seems to be- if you see copper on the slide stop- to file the slide stop enough to prevent the interference. Ok, cool. Here’s a pic of the failure. Note, I did not lock the action open to take the pic. The action locked open on the previous round, and I did not disturb the round in the mag to take the pic. What you see is what I saw. The mags are 8 round stainless Wilson Combat mags. Overall, the gun has about 1000 or so rounds on it, split across 8 mags, so the mags are pretty fresh…

Other than guess and check on filing down the slide stop, anything else I should be looking at? This is a fun gun, so reliability is only a concern in as much as guns that run are more fun that guns that don’t. Thanks.

Conscious Practice and The Art of the Rifleman

Developing skill as an art through conscious practice.

windrose.png

We build skill through conscious practice—by observing our own shots, learning from experience, and refining those lessons over time. Real skill comes from mindful engagement with reality: discovery through struggle, and validation of every principle until it proves repeatable and true. This kind of practice also builds genuine confidence, because reality confirms what we know; it repeats itself and aligns with our lived experience. This article serves as a cornerstone for RifleKraft students and readers—a guide to a mindset that embraces mindful practice as the path to understanding and growth.

The minds illusion...
