Resizing 223 starline fired brass. Using a rcbs rock chunker with a forster bushing FL sizing die. I have romoved the dies cleaned and installed per instructions. When i resize the case it doesnt fit flush in my hornady case gauge. If I take the brass and rotate it in the pres 4 times it sits flush. What could be the cause of the issue. I bought this from a Remington collector who was downsizing for the action. He told me it was unfired and that appears to be the case. I want to build a 7PRC with this action so have no use for the barrel or stock. Including a photo of the bolt face for reference. I did a bit of research and it looks like a fair price would be $225 for barrel and stock TYD. If you dont want the stock I'll just trash it, it might be good for a cheap hunting rig but thats about it. Open to offers but that seems reasonable. It may take a couple days to have it removed. Can take mor photos.

Im in the process of assembling a 20” 6mm ARC upper and wanting to narrow down bullet selection and powder options for the uses this upper will see. It will be ran suppressed 100% of the time.

At first it will be scoped and do some load development/plinking. Probably later this year it will get a thermal scope and more than likely remain that way.

Im looking at a lighter bullet for speed and varmint hunting. Maybe something in the 70-80 grain class. I currently have Varget that should be suitable for what im trying to do but ooen to other powder options i should look in to.

Started my 10-day waiting today when FedEx delivered to my FFL, and I went in to get the paperwork done. Unboxed and checked it out, and what a good looking stock in person!

But, one thing I noticed that was a bit concerning is that the barrel isn't concentric on the forestock groove; it's obvious, and a bit annoying. Could something have shifted in transit? The barrel and stock don't touch, slid a sheet a paper all the way down no problem. But why wouldn't there be better centering of the barrel and stock?

I was unfortunately in a hurry - FFL is 30 min from home, and I had to get there and back in time to go to Christmas Eve mass. Anything I should examine more closely when I return in 10 days?

This one barrel has only 50 rounds, it shoots 1/3MOA with handloads, only reason its up for sale is I'm putting PRS on pause for next year, I have a crazy project at work coming up and I'll be traveling a lot, hence letting some of the consumables go as I don't want them to decay, rust or anything like that.

NOTE: The only cosmetic issue with it is on the bottom of the shank, the cerakote has a couple of marks from my barrel press, when I was installing this barrel I didn't tight the press screws all the way and the barrel slipped, hence the marks... anyways, they are on the bottom, once you attach it to the action and set the action in your chassis/stock those marks are not visible, but wanted to let you know (the barrel is not marred in any way, but the cerakote has those visible marks).

Given the cosmetic issue, I can let it go for 550 bucks shipped (new from TS Customs they go for 900+, save yourself 300+ Dollars and buy this one instead), the cosmetic issue does not interfere with the barrel fit and function in any way. So I made a snafu and had two barrels chambered for an Impact 787 when I actually had a 777. Trying to find a 787 with a magnum bolt proved to be extremely difficult, until I talked with Altus. 15 minutes later and one phone call later, they were able to secure an action and I had it about a week later.

Trying to find two new 7mm blanks wasn’t the smartest idea once we decided we wanted to try the NF Steel Challenge next year. A call to Custom Rifle Barrels and they had two barrels sent to the smith. @StraightJacketArmory constantly comes in clutch and had these to me in no time. They have become my go to.

I wanted to start this thread because we always read about long wait times, out of stock items, and bad service. Making a friendly phone call or two to some of the vendors that support our sport proved to help me remedy a situation that I created for myself. Now, any tips for the NF Challenge send them my way!
