Advice needed regarding the value of a Remington 700 5R .308 barreled action.

New here. I’ve read the rules regarding posting an item for sale in the forum. I am not trying to sell it here. I would, if I had the credentials, but I don’t. I’d like to get an idea for what it’s worth so I can put it on gun broker. I bought this off my neighbor ( fire sale) before he moved. I was with him when he purchased the rifle a year prior at our local gun store. I know it was only shot about 100 rounds. Stainless steel 24” barrel chambered in .308, 1:11 twist rate with 5R rifling. When he bought it, he had the muzzle threaded to 5/8-24, bolt knob (the football) removed and threaded a tactical style handle on. It has Nightforce bases and and elite Hunter Timney trigger. I bought it off of him because he needed the cash, I sold the H.S precision stock and the Nightforce scope on eBay, but obviously I can’t sell the barreled action. Am I even able to ship this? Is it worth more if I keep the scope bases and the trigger with it? It I hear a lot of good things about custom actions these days, but not a whole lot about Remington 700 actions except all the bad stuff.

Alright SH fam, I will start a DMR build soon. I will post a voting poll for the BCG, but I am also interested in your thoughts on the other items in the build list as well.

So I request that the feedback be focused on the items in the build list & your experience with these parts, or parts you believe to be superior to them at or near the same price point.

Context:
In an effort to subvert the (should have spent that money on training) comments; I have attended 485 hours of credentialed firearms training with reputable training instructors. I try to attend 2-3 classes annually to stay proficient & improve my skill set. This rifle will be used for DMR roles during training missions. I train with a community defense group regularly.

What am I doing wrong- alternating group sizes

I noticed something unusual that I think points to a failure in my mechanics. I took my Vudoo out this weekend to do a bunch of lot testing. When I went back to look at the targets I noticed that I was frequently shooting larger groups with the first five shots, followed by a tighter group with the second.
Shooting at 50 yards off a bipod and rectangular rear squeeze at bag (no ears) from sturdy but not rigid bench. Loading ten rounds, five to the first target, pivot right, and the second five to the second target.
I did have another shooter offer to watch me shooting, and the only thing he noticed was that I was tensing my shoulder in preparation for breaking the shot. I tried to consciously keep my shoulder down, but it didn’t seem to change the pattern in how I was grouping.
Any thoughts on what I might be doing to cause this?
Groups are all five rounds each, left target first, then shift right, usually without breaking position except for the slight pivot.

6 GT Load Suggestions & Suppressor Pressure Signs!?

Looking for some advice/thoughts on this load. Broke in a new barrel this weekend. Groups were great, SD not so much. Most of the details below. I included photos of the composite group and the 8 shot group. Not sure what happened with the literal flier, might have been me, might not have.

I'm not sure if I should just chalk this up to barrel break/cold weather or not. Not going to lie, I was expecting a lower SD with how well it was grouping. The 5x5 groups were the 32nd to 56th shots through the new bore. I shot another 17 shots of a different load after the 5x5 group, then the 8 shot group, so shots 74-81.

Oh, and btw, I was getting pressure signs with the suppressor (OCL Polonium); heavy bolt lift and some ejector swipe. Here is the break-down of the suppressor groups. From my limited research, I guess this is a thing where some suppressors will cause pressure signs with an otherwise normal load. I have a Silencerco Omega to try out next time.

Shot a 5 shot group (great group - 0.3 MOA no pressure signs)
Shot a 5 shot group and had pressure signs, group was terrible, worst of the day
Cleaned chamber/barrel
Shot 5 shot group pressure sings went away, good group 0.5 MOA
Shot 2 more, pressure came back, sadly took the suppressor off and put it away
Shot 8 more shots no pressure signs with brake

Right now, I'm leaning to loading another 50 of the exact same load and retesting (with brake and Omega suppressor). I don't live close to the range and with the family I don't get many days at the range, so I try to bring a lot of ammo for thorough testing/practice, even if it means using more components than I need to.

5x5 and 1x8 groups for a total of 33 shots

Rifle Scopes Complicated Burris Eliminater

Lengthily question but I am completely baffled. I started years ago with a Burriss Eliminater 3 scope and fell in love with the accuracy of it. I then put a Burris4 on my 22-250 and had very good results on prairie dog shoots. The last day of our last hunt the scope quit. Just quit. I sent it in to Burris and they said it was unrepareable and sent me a Eliminater 5 to replace it. Here’s where all of the questions start. I put the 5 on the same rifle and had to put the number two shim under it to elevate to zero@100 yards. Never had a shim under the previous Burris. Never could get the rifle to hold a group. This is the same rifle that was splattering dogs at 400. I sent it back for something being wrong and they sent me another 5. This scope needed a number 3 shim to zero @ 100. Will not group. Has Burris gone down hill? Customer Service huffed and puffed but they did try. What’s the thoughts on this. Going from no spacers and working like a dream on the Eliminater 3 to having to shim up to number 3 shim and not holding a pattern.

Optics J Unertl externally adjustable scope

Title says it all, 10x J Unertl scope, 1 inch tube with later production black mounts, both lens caps. One small booger on a screw for the adjustable crosshair ring, does not affect function, still loosens and rotates as needed. I can get pics of the crosshairs if you want. Bought a few for a project and this one didn’t make the cut. I’m asking 800 shipped, but make me a reasonable offer. Might be interested in a trade, not sure what I’d want so just ask. PP F&F or you cover fees, USPS money order, or face to face if close enough. Thanks

DNT ThermNight comparison

Here are some videos I made comparing the new 640 resolution TNC635R with the 384 TNC335R and 256 TNC225R.

I forgot to focus the TNC335R digital objective lens so the night vision looks out of focus. The pig was 380 yards away. I forgot the default on the TNC635R was set to Meters for the range finder. I changed it to yards after this video.
