For sale: MDT Precision Bottom Metal. Compatible with Badger M5 profiles/Rem 700 SA patterns. Has MDT super nice adjustable mag catch.

The one is as new condition, no markings what so ever. But has had a custom alum middle finger rest added via one small hole drilled and a screw attach. Could be removed, but small drill hole remains. Came with a stock I recently purchased. Do not have a need for it or would keep. $SOLD

Deburring tool

I have a case prep station and need a better outside chamfering head. I’ve gone through two that didn’t do a good job. The standard Frankfort arsenal head and another, I can’t remember who made it. What’s happening is it’s actually creating a lip around the rim. Like it’s rolling the edge over to the outside. Is there a quality cutter anyone recommends that threads into a prep station?

Gas block interference 0.002, too much?

My WOA SPR gas block journal OD is measuring 0.752 and my Geiselle super gas block ID is 0.750. So looking at 0.002 interference.

According to ChatGPT, if I heat the gas block to 450 degrees, and the barrel is in the freezer overnight, it should gain me 0.0021 clearance for a thermal fit.

Yes I understand that I can hone the gas block and polish the journal.

Anyways, am I crazy to be concerned about the gas block constricting the bore once everything comes back to room temperature? Main concern for constricting is the bore would be affecting accuracy and durability.

I know that a lot of folks have done thermal fits with their WOA barrels but wanted to know what level of interference starts being too much. I presume there is a safe limit.

Flame away.

Hi from Austria

Hi everyone,

Greetings from Austria! I'm a new member here on Sniper’s Hide and excited to be part of this great community of precision shooters.

I’m currently running a Steyr SSG 69 in .308 Win, topped with a Schmidt & Bender PM II 3-12x50. It’s a classic setup that I really enjoy shooting – precise, reliable, and built to last.

Thanks for having me!

Rifle Scopes Mounts and Optics for Seekins DMR 6 ARC

Good afternoon gentlemen. I’m buying a Seekins DMR 22” in 6 ARC. It’s going to be my do everything rifle for plinking, hunting, and heavy range use on steel and paper. I have a 500 yard rifle range 5 minutes from my house so usually shooting 500 and under but if I can find a range I’ll definitely shoot it out to 1000.

Pretty sure I am going with a Vortex Venom 5-25x56 FFP with the mils reticle. I need help with the mounts. I’m happy to stick with Seekins mounts but it doesn’t have to be theirs. Sub $300ish would be nice if possible but not going to cheap out if it makes sense to spend another hundred or two. All of my experience is with typical 3-9x40 hunting scopes so I don’t know if I should go with a 0 or 20 MOA mount or one piece vs 2 rings. I’d like a red dot for close plinking and getting on target at range but don’t know if I should put it on a diving board or canted mount.

It won’t be the most ergonomic rifle with a 5-25, the weight, and the 22” barrel but that’s fine. I don’t want to compromise on any bench shooting accuracy especially being a gas gun. I can always go down to a 18 or 16” barrel later if I feel the need. Or buy a 5.56.

Not worried about the hunting side as I shot a bunch of deer and hogs behind the ear with a .243 Win and 85gr Nosler Partitions when I was young.

Planning on starting with 5 or 10 boxes of Hornady black box 105 gr JHP or ELDM 108 gr match and then reloading once I save up the brass.

Is there an electrical engineer or industrial electrical contractor on board?

Paging any E.Es or industrial electrical contractors. I'm nearing the limits of my understanding of 3-phase power, Delta and Wye circuits and how this all works.

I have some pretty specific technical questions I'm trying to get firm answers to, and am going to need the math behind the answer as well.

If you might be interested to educate me, please DM me and I can provide more specific details and contact information.

Thanks,
