Does anyone know how range maximum energy limits are calculated?

I'm templating a new range ATM but there's nothing in the pam regards limits. For example our normal range is 8mm max calibre and 3319 ft lbs. No one knows how that number was arrived at.

Anyone know what the math is?

Been using a Lyman Gen5 powder dispenser for about 8 years. Today had it setup and calibrated, double checked with my balance beams. Was running spot on. Then it started throwing heavy and I mean heavy. Cannot get it to calibrate. Anyone have any experience with one of these?

Im deep down in PRS shooting and have been using Big horn action. (really good action) Had Impact 737r but did't like it.
Are going to have Borden Mountaineer sometime in january 2025 and Terminus Zeus are in my shopping cart.

But now I also see American rifle company Coup De Grâce Bolt Action as a feasible option.
What do you all say about that. Should I get Terminus Zeus or ARC Coup De Grâce Bolt Action.

For sale is a FN SCAR 17 in the significantly more accurate FDE color.

Purchased in 2012 with the reciprocating charging handle. I am the original owner. Less than 200rnds fired, zero upgrades, and never had an optic mounted. I couldn't find a consistent use for this rifle, and after 12 years of sitting in the safe, it's time to move on to another project. Rifle has marks and light blemishes consistent with handling.

Rifle is priced at $2,700, with four magazines included. I have additional magazines for sale at the buyers option. I will not sell any magazines separate from the rifle at this time. Buyer to pay shipping / insurance. I've seen it talked about in the past, but can't find much info running dual helmet mounted thermals.

I currently have L3 1531's, but would like helmet mounted thermal capability. I don't like the idea of dual band (NV in one eye and thermal in the other) set ups.

Currently looking at picking up a pair of MH25 V2's and helmet mounting them. I think this works on paper, but not sure if I am missing something, Is the resolution good enough to walk out to a coyote stand, hunt, and then safely walk back?

I am looking for a mule deer hunt for me and my grandfather. He cant walk more than 400-500 yards. Anyone know of any mule deer hunts that could be done from a blind. Not worried about the state. And willing to pay up to 5k a person for the hunt. I do not want a high fence hunt for any reason. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
