Accessories MDT ACC long action(3.850” mags) for sale, custom color offered before shipping!

I have a long action MDT ACC that takes 3.850” mags. It will be getting freshly cerakoted whatever color the buyer wants before shipping.

300WM mag can be sent out with the chassis, or not, cost adjusted.

The chassis is disassembled right now, ready to be prepped and coated, but text me for any pictures you want to see to confirm which grip and cheek rest it has.

Text me to see what colors we have for Cerakote. I can likely buy what you want if we don’t have it.

Thanks, Keith

Suppressors YHM Resonator K 30

Does anyone here own one of these that can share their likes or dislikes with this suppressor? Repeatable poi shift with the factory QD mount?

I have and am happy with my SF Socom 2 Mini. It does everything I need it to do. I need another 308 can that will run on a 16” MWS, 18” rifle gas 6.5 Grendel, and 16” 556 middy but Im being cheap and looking at the YHM Resonator K. Size and low back pressure are the main criteria. If you look at the Pew Science back pressure chart, the Resonator compares well to the SF Mini and even outperforms the Huxworks Flow Ti on back pressure.

223/5.56 battle loads 14.5” gun

Seems to be a lot of info on a lot of loads. But I would like to discuss the dichotomy of trying to find a balance between despersion, velocity, bullet drop & terminal performance with heavy for cal bullets out of a 14.5” 1:7 barrel. I don’t think load data for longer or even shorter barrels is directly applicable. My goal is to find a load that has no more than 2moa groupings @ 100 out of MY rifle. Has decent velocity & can carry itself out a ways. Consistent hits at 500ish. I’m looking at projectiles with a cantalure only. I’ve been loading Hornady 75gr BTHP but am open to a lighter bullet. Maybe a 68 or a 62. My 75’s like to go slow in order to group at 100. Like 2315 slow. I have pushed them faster into 5.56 pressures, but dispersion is unacceptable at the higher pressures. drop is substantial. My current load uses 23gr of CFE 223 with the 75’s following all the factory trim, & OAL specs. CCI 450 primers crimped.

New from Idaho

New member from Idaho. Appreciate the content that I’ve been able to learn from in my quest to start this long range shooting adventure to sharpen my skills with hunting and starting PRS and NRL competitions. I did one enlistment in the Marines Corps back in the late 90’s and just wanted to introduce myself. Thanks for the site and the platform to learn.

Optics Sig Tango6 5-30x56 MOA scope for sale

Selling my Sig Tango 6 only because I picked up a razor 3. It has the MOA reticle, clear glass, and electronics work as they should. I used this scope for my first long range setup for about 2 years and used it out to 1100yds on 10-15 occasions. There are some ring marks on the tube but nothing serious. It was originally mounted in a set of vortex pro matched rings and torqued properly to spec.

Asking $1300 shipped. Prefer paypal or venmo but could also do check/money order.

Continuous scope ring slippage

Update 3/27 see #39 below.

Have a 7RM with a 24.7" barrel and a radial brake on the end. Paired with a Zeiss Conquest v4 6-24x50 and Seekins 30mm rings. Scope will slip literally within 5 shots and slips every 1-2 shots afterwards per shifting POI and the pencil witness marks on my scope moving. Moved about 1-1.5mm in 9 shots.

The scope continuously slips rearwards (toward the butt of the rifle) in the rings regardless of what I do. I sent the scope to Zeiss to confirm that it is not out of round or out of spec - it's not, don't have the measurements they gave me right now, but off the top of my head nothing looked wrong with the numbers.

Info:
Have the torqued to 22in/lb (max per Zeiss when I called them). Torqued in normal star pattern and then torqued again once everything was tight, measured per Borka torque wrench.
Added powdered rosin - didn't help.
Did not alter the inside surface of the rings or the outside surface scope in any way. Also called Seekins for ring warranty and they sent another set - didn't help.
Tried ARC rings as well and had slippage too.
Have a radial brake at the end of the barrel - not sure if the change in recoil impulse is related to this but I've seen bigger rifles with bigger brakes that would induce a "faster and jerkier" recoil impulse (i.e. the jerk function) not have problems with "similar quality" rings.
Am not using a particularly hot load, heavy or light projectiles, etc. - i.e. all well within book limits for projectile weights and velocities.
Scope is not particularly heavy - 24.3oz - not sure if this has to do with anything practically speaking
Don't think it's how I mounted anything - have other rifles, including larger cal, and none have a scope slippage problem this persistent. One other rifle did have a much more minor slippage problem (much less slippage in 50 rounds) but that was resolved with 22in/lb on the rings (up from 19) and powdered rosin.
The rails do not slip in their pic slots and the scope base does not slip either.

Any ideas here or just get different rings? If different rings is the solution, any recs around or under $150ish - would like something not too large / heavy as this is a hunting rifle but don't mind something with a little weight to it. 1 piece mount isn't possible with the rails on this rifle.

Account upgrade

Not sure where to put this. I used to have the supporter level account and cancelled it over a year ago because I was cutting back on subscription.

I now would like to upgrade my account back to supporter level but when I go to the account upgrade option, it just gives me my current level of free and no options to upgrade.

can someone guide me on how to upgrade my account?

Thanks,
KD

GOD BARRELS AND TRASHMUNITION

I have three rifles which exhibit these traits at 100 meters…

1) An Accuracy International Dave Tooley barrel that shoots bugholes (this one performs really well out to 400 meters, I’ll be really sad when I finally shoot the worth out of it) with Cheaper than Dirt “XM80CS Bulk Ammunition” from grud knows when,

2) A Steyr AUG with one of the newer 20”, 1/7, 1/2-28 barrels that gets me 1 - inch groups using bulk Green Tips also from Cheaper Than Dirt (Sandy Hook era) with the Donut of Death reticle,

3) An AR-15 with a 20” White Oak Armament 1/8 barrel that gets me 2” groups using the above trashmunition.

Has anybody figured out what causes the stars to align and yield such results with ammunition that should be in the dumpster? :ROFLMAO:

All of my other rifles, both cheap and pricey, yield dinner plate groups with the above.

Probably a rhetorical question, but I thought I’d ask :ROFLMAO:

SOLD 2x 6mm Arc uppers

I have two 6mm arc uppers for sale.

Upper number 1:

ODIN Works 6mm ARC barrel, 21", 1:7.5
twist
Aero Precision FDE M4E1 Enhanced upper (semi-monolithic design)
Aero Precision FDE Enhanced handguard
ODIN Works adjustable gas block

- Sold -

Upper number 2

Noveske 14.5” barrel 1:7 twist and low pro gas block.
BCM upper receiver black
CMT UHPR mod 2 13.7 handguard black

$600 shipped

Both barrels are threaded 5/8x24. Both have been test fired to check function. I ended up with three 6 arc uppers. Consolidating to one only as these two haven’t seen any real use.

PM with questions. I’ll put some photos up tomorrow.
