US military/sf/le sniper rifles vertical adjustment buttpad ?

Hi

I have noticed a a lot of US military/sf/le sniper rifles (for example: M40/A1/A3/A5, M24/A2, MK13MOD1-5, Rem700 Police/LTR) have buttpads with no vertical adjustments. Who knows why ? Just old design Mcm & HS stocks trying save some weight ? Or it have another sense ? I like oldschool army/marines rifles but suprised why they have no vertical adj recoil pad before XM2010/MK13MOD6/M40A6 were produced...

Selling my Parge OK Surgeon 591 SA. The action will come with an IBI 26in 1.250 chambered in 308. The rifle was chambered by Marc at Spartan Precision Rifles. The barrel has approximately 1300 rounds on it and was used as a back up rifle for me. $1450 Shipped. It does not come with the chassis or the muzzle brake.

Firearms Seekins Precision Havak PH2 300 PRC

I have a Seekins Precision Havak PH2 in300 PRC for sale, it was used for a few hunts this past season. I’m planning on getting a 7 backcountry to try out for next season so this one is for sale. Will nickel plated bullets (not brass) increase rifling wear?

I loading for 7 PRC now and only used 175 ELDX. They shoot real well for me. Federal is making a Terminal Ascent bullet (170 grain) that looks intriguing as a bonded high BC bullet, but is nickel plated. I’m interested in this as a hunting bullet for large Whitetail deer and the bonded feature should work well for weight retention. Is there anything negative about the nickel plating on these bullets? More erosion of rifling or more difficult to clean the barrel, as compared to copper clad bullets? Thanks
