Picking a first PRS two day match

If you were shooting your first two day match which would you choose… war rifles shootout or sheepdog showdown? Both are about the same distance from me to travel to and both have solid reputation for being a good time, the showdown “qualifier” match and the shootout standard two day.

I haven’t actually shot a full match season in a while, so I’m not expecting to set the world on fire and running a 223 for tac division definitely put me at a disadvantage but it’s all about having fun right. I have other caliber options but I don’t really want to switch up stuff and end up screwing my self up one way or another.

Newer lots of Fed SR Match AR in Bolt actions

Hey everyone... Midway has a great sale on some SRPs specifically the Federal Match AR. I have had some issues using the CCI41s in bolt guns and also have had some failures with the Federal small rifle match primers.... Im seeing if anyone is running these in a bolt gun application with a standard strength spring. Will be running in a FX7 and a ARC CDG. Not going to buy these until I can determine if they work in a bolt... I have TONS of the CCI41s so no need to grab them for AR applications.

Chinese Acrobatics By a DA To Not Bring Charges

Deputy leaves his K9 partner in the patrol car while he is training. He knows that the AC doesn't work and the vehicle doesn't have a heat warning but does it anyway. He returned to the patrol car to find the dog dead.
If you assault a K9 cop there's special charges for you but they dug deep to use the Hillary defense. He didn't intend to commit the crime!! So it's all good and the taxpayers can choke up another $20K for another dog. The statement by the sheriff is truly a whitewashing of the the whole thing.
I'm going to use the "I didn't intend to speed" defense!! It's good enough for this scumbag and the skank Hillary so federal and state level are setting the precedent. Ohh wait, I ain't one of the King's men.

Lying through their teeth about the clot shot.

Senate testimony about the clot shot is going on. The first guy i saw was talking about how scientists and public health officials were very forthwith publicizing any potential dangers of the jab, and that claiming there was absolutely no cover up of dangerous side effects.

Then the next guy starts in about how many lives the COVID jabs saved by reducing the severity of disease. And how Trumps cuts are going to effect vaccine safety.

So not only will nobody be hanged for it, if we let them sort it out. We are going to have to listen to a bunch of bloviating retards, retell all the lies from 2020-2023 as though they haven't been proven false.

"The clinical data shows the shots reduced the severity of disease."

"The shots were safe and effective."

Movie Theater Mission Impossible 8 / Final Reckoning

I am bias, and hard for me not to like any MI movies, as i been an MI fan since a kid watching the original series on the TV . #8 is Most Excellent watching it on the BIG Screen. Fast moving all way through, Cruse went top shelf as usual, Air stunts were great on the big screen with good audio also. It is a Long movie also @ 2 hr 50 min.
It does tie the whole series up to a fitting ending. So if cruise chooses to walk away after #8 on the series he did it right.

SOLD Tangent Theta 5-25 Gen 3 XR

Sadly my match days are slowing down due to new life commitments as a dad. Don’t need this scope sitting around collecting dust.

I’ll start with the bad, the object cap doesn’t spring open but once it’s flipped all the way open, it will stay open. How I got it from the previous owner. The windage knob has a little brass rash on it as well. Past that, it’s everything you’d expect a Tangent to be. Asking 3650 shipped, or trade for a kahles dlr 5-25 lsw with cash on top.

Mount is not for sale.

10/22 Scope Questions

So, I finally have jumped into the 10/22 game and feel like I am at a loss for what to do as far as scopes go. All of my optics up to this point have been pretty simple (BDC built into the reticle), all centerfire cartridges.

I am not sure where to start here, as very few scopes seem to do BDC for 22 LR. I'd imagine it'd be difficult because 22LR ammo is so varied.

Doing an MOA or MIL scope isn't a big deal, but many optics companies have dedicated rimfire scopes. I haven't been able to figure out a difference based on spec sheets, other than LPVOs having shorter parallax distances.

How much does this matter? Should I get the rimfire version of the scope? Or can I get really any scope with a MIL/MOA reticle I like?

SOLD Zero Compromise Optic ZCO 5-27 MPTC 3x

Selling a low round count ZCO 5-27. I'm selling it because I have another one coming with the 2x reticle. These are awesome scopes and you will not be disappointed.

Specs are as follows:
-5-27
-MPCT 3x reticle
-15mil turret
-locking turret but has dry-erase turret with 3d printed spacer to make turet non locking
-Comes w/ original box, covers etc

I kept it wrapped so there is not a scratch on anything but on the zco logo on the left by the eyepiece where my trigger cam put a tiny scratch on it. It's hard to see in the photo. Lenses look amazing and scope functions and tracks 100% from my tall target tests.

Please message me first to buy or if you have any further questions or want to video chat to see it before you buy it. $ shipped and insured conus add 3% if not doing F&F

GPO Rangeguide quality?

Hey all, can't seem to find a while lot on the GPO Rangeguide series LRF Binos, so looking for thoughts on them. Found a set (10x40) with a *really* good pricetag and considering jumping on them. Uses are mostly NRL, and I have no need for onboard ballistics software since I run an armboard with hard data (read, I would rather the money I spend be on clear glass and a fast laser than on AB+). AB is awesome but I'm not made of money and it's expensive.

The warranty is also certainly a factor, since GPO says it's an unlimited lifetime for the unit, unlike some that only warranty electronics for a few years.

Thanks in advance!
