I just used a brand new 2 die (full length) set from Hornady last night. When I disassembled the dies to clean (de-grease) them I noticed a small pit in the shoulder area of the sizer die. You can feel it with a plastic tool. It does NOT mark the shoulder of the brass when sizing. I’m guessing the material had some porosity there when the reamer was cutting the die? I used the die and no problems. Has anyone ever seen something like this? I’ll probably call Hornady customer service Monday and ask about it. Since it doesn’t mark the shoulder of a sized case I could live with it. But I have other Hornady and RCBS dies and never seen it before. I attached a picture below. The pit is at 11 o’clock. There are a few cotton fibers in view from cleaning out the case lube after sizing.

I have a VSeven Harbinger receiver set that I will be doing a build with later this year in October, but for right now, I want to do a new build and I want to try out a new ar10/lr308 receiver set.

What receiver sets would you recommend? I've looked at SLR, Zev/MegaMaten, NEMO, and Noveske, but I'm open to other suggestions. I wouldn't mind doing another LMT build but I'm looking to work with something new.

Hey everyone, I have a ruger American predator in 6.5 creedmoor. I cannot find a bore guide for it (unless I go universal) does anyone know of anywhere to get a gun specific bore guide? Possum hollow doesn’t make one, creedmoor sports has been out of stock for months. Any help would be appreciated.

I have been given 20 of the above to try .
So, 20 projectiles isn,t really enough to run up loads to find a good load . So i am after someone elses load to try .
I do have a good 185 and 210 berger load , and a reasonable 178 eldx , but no 180 grain loads for the 300 win mag . I shoot a 7mm prc so i I have h1000 , H4831sc ADI 2217, ADI 2208 + 2209 , rl 22 , rl 19 , viv 160 + 540 ,
But i dont have any Norma MRP which i understand is the right powder ( got loads for that ) for the bonstrike .
for info , my 300 is a SAKO A7 at 23.5 inch barrell , lapua brass at 92.5 grain Volume , federal mag primers .
You are going to have to trust me , to not be a fool on this matter.
Now i have been around long enough to take your best Bonstrike load and run it through Gordens and XXL and If it goes well in yours , its likely to go fine in mine.
If nobody is loading this projectile , how about somebodys 180 gr accubond or simaler ?
