Tripod and binoculars recs

I’ve read a ton of threads covering my title, however — I’m looking for a basic tripod that’ll get to 72 inches (I’m a little over 6 feet tall) and some type of basic mount that would be best to use with some inexpensive binoculars. I’m just going to use the tripod and binos for spotting targets at distances inside of 400 yards and will not shoot off of the tripod ever.

Thanks

Zeiss and Sphur compatibility

I purchased a Zeiss LRP S5 5-25x56 and Spuhr 4001C to upgrade/decrease weight from a Vortex Razor 4.5-27x56 and vortex mount for prs, NRL Hunter and occasionally Coues. My previous rings were 1” and fit over bore but barely. I tried 1.5” and it was way too tall for me and my cheek, I couldn’t run the bolt. This 1.18 is perfect height, perfect but when I torqued it down it was touching at the base where it attached to the pic rail and the bottom bell of the scope, are the Zeiss and Sphur incompatible? (I’ve only jumped into prs ect last year and still have lots to learn.)

Safety in Ecuador

My stepson is going to Ecuador to kayak next week. I have limited knowledge when it comes to the country. Google shows that it is generally safe, but I was hoping there might be someone on here with personal experience. He said he will be in Quito, Baeza, Tena, Puyo, Banos, and Cielo Verde. Any intel on these areas would be appreciated.

Have a used but not abused ZCO 527 sitting in a 1.18” SPUHR. Scope shows signs of use (pictured) but the glass is flawless. Comes in a SPUHR that’s been modified slightly. 223 bolt gun and 62 eld-vt

Good afternoon everyone,

I've had pretty good luck with the factory 22 ARC 62gr eld-vt ammo for night hunting. I'm about to embark on reloading for my 233 bolt gun with a long throat running the 62gr eld-vt bullets. Has anyone messed with these at all yet? And if so what powders and primers are you folks seeing luck with?

This gun is going to be primarily used as a day gun for coyotes and switched out to smaller bullets during summer for Prarie dogs.

Rifle Scopes Lightweight short range hunting optic?

Looking for recommendations on a lightweight optic for hunting, likely less than 125yd shots, but will stretch it out on the range. FFP and MIL to keep with my other optics. Would like to keep it less than 20oz and less than $1200 or so.

Currently I'm looking into:

EOTech Vudu 1-10x28 with SR-5 reticle
Primary Arms 1-8x24 with ACSS Griffin MIL M8 reticle (Watched @C_Does review and I'm leaning toward this optic currently)
Nightforce NX8 1-8x24 with FC-DMx reticle (have heard stories about the eye box which kind of scare me here)
Leupold Mark4 HD 2.5-10x42 with TMR reticle

Who has experience with these optics or have thoughts on how they'd perform as a hunting scope?

Any others you'd recommend that I look into? Already looked into Trijicon, Vortex, Burris, Maven, and Leupold.

SOLD Razor HD 27-60x85 (Straight) + MRAD Eye Piece

Vortex Razor HD 27-60x85 Straight Spotting Scope PLUS 22x MRAD reticle eyepiece

Used for one season. It's in excellent condition and was well cared for.
