Case annealing not that duanting

This always seem to to be one of the most divisive subjects, where everyone thinks they have a secret trick but nobody can prove why their method is any better.

Having watched the era of the homereloader annealing cases begin and reloaded my first seveal thousand cases in an era before it started. I always wonder when people talk about annealing and what it does for them. How many rounds they reloaded before they started annealing. How many firings they were accustom to getting out of a case. How often they were splitting necks. As compared to the present.

I routinely made it to 15 without loosing more than a couple to split necks before I started annealing. I rouitey had acceptable verticals out to 1k without annealing.

I would guesstimate I split less necks now by a little. I split a couple necks in some 7-8x 6 arc brass recently. I went ahead and annealed the brass and haven't split another they are at 11 now.

Could the temperature range to get acceptable results is much wider than people think? As evidenced by the fact that everyone says their process works. Is it much easier to do than people make it out to be?

In my opnion the most important part of the process is dealing with oxidation inside the neck afterward. After that most of us aren't shooting the diffrence anyway. 🙈🙉🙊 I know half of sniperhides brass isn't making it past 4 or 5x before the pockets give out. 🤣🤣🤣

Thoughts, rants, dissertations, adhominem, poems, shit slinging, monkey sounds and slap fighting, all welcome here. I don't judge.🤣🤣🤣

Reloading Equipment 40+lbs of powder and 17k+ primers. FTF TX

picked a bunch of reloading stuff from a couple of estates last year and have more than I'll ever use at this point.
It’s all been stored indoors its whole life and is all in good useable condition. The opened powders look/smell fine.

Powder:
2 unopened 1lbs and 1 partial of IMR 4227
1lb unopened IMR 4350
2-3lbs opened jug of RL15
3lbs opened jug of Hercules 2400
7lbs opened jug of H4381SC
8lb unopened jug of H4381
9lbs unopened and 1 partial accurate 2230
11lbs H335. (one unopened jug and 3 open but full 1lbs)

Primers:
5900 CCI 350 Magnum large Pistol
5800 Winchester small pistol
1000 CCI 200 large rifle
1000 CCI 500 small pistol
1000 Remington Magnum rifle
600 Wolf small rifle
800 Winchester small rifle
800 CCI 300 large pistol
360 CCI 400 small rifle

~43lbs*26$/lb + 17k primers*45$/1k make it $1800 for the lot.

Not interested in parting out, just want to get rid of it as a complete lot. Might split the pistol and rifle stuff if I have buyers for both.

No shipping. FTF only. kinda flexible on weekends, Seguin to Columbus down to Victoria/Port Lavaca area. Weekday pickups would just be Victoria area

33XC

what is everyone’s stock/chassis of choice for a 33XC when trying to make light gun requirements? Currently running just a basic MPA ba comp but wanting to make a change once this barrel craps out. Already got my new blank from K&P which is a 34” 1.35 to 1.10 taper. My rifle right now is currently sitting at 25.5lbs but really wanting to move to a stock or a chassis set up that has a similar feel to a stock when behind it.

Dynamic Stability

I posted this in another thread in response to @Frank Green , but it was entirely tangential to the topic... @Ledzep @Bryan Litz Ballistics perhaps y'all have some insight as well.

When you see a pitched bullet & the counter pitching force is sufficient to correct after exiting from the bore, does this correct without any angular deviation to the flight path?

E.g., assume a bullet is seated measurably eccentric and is fired, engraving eccentrically. It will obviously initially spiral after exiting the bore. Assuming dynamic stability is achieved, will the projectile's subsequent flight path have discernible angular difference in flight from a projectile that exited the bore perfectly with no pitching? Is the axis or locus of correction the center of mass? I'm guessing no, due to air resistance.

Hopefully that made sense. I'm guessing there are too many factors for a simple answer, like bullet shape, length, weight, speed of rotation, velocity, degree of wobble, etc.

Athlon Helos With Stiff Illumination Dial

Got myself an Athlon Helos 2-12x42. The illumination dial was so tight out of the box, I thought it was stuck permanently. I can manage to turn it very slowly with both hands if I really try.

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm going to see if I can keep turning it until I loosen up, but it's so stiff, it won't be long before I get blisters.

Self filming multiple crimes while drunk . Come on KY surly you can do better than this .

Warning: the video is real Jerry Springer shit - loud badge monkey and his fat loud mouth wife .

Also funny that county prosecutor said there was no crime in the video- other than drunk driving , assault, trespassing , threats and unlawfully running someone’s name through criminal background checks. WTF.

Optics Choice Help

Hey guys, I need some help choosing an optics for my rifle. I know these come up very often, but my I have not seen my choices together.
Rifle is a 6.5 Creedmoor. I will be using the rifle for LR classes. Hopefully classes to get out to 1000. Right now I have a Athlon Cronus BTR G2 4.5-29X56. Quite heavy.
Choices are:
1. Zeiss V4 6-24X50 with ZBi-68 Reticle.
2. Nightforce SHV 5-20X56 C535 MOAR.
3. Leupold Mark 4 6-24X52 PR3 MIL (But keep hearing a lot of stories about the turrets being totally off)
4. Any other suggestions?

Would likes:
Weight below 24ounces.
Illuminated reticle (Not deal breaker)
Locking turrets (Not deal breaker)

Or should I just keep the Cronus?

MRGG-A (6.5 CM) vs 6 ARC?

Of course Hornady has done a lot of good with the 6 ARC and I love my 14.5" version has been great. Now I'm starting to see (or maybe just pay attention to) 14.5" 6.5 Creed rifles and I'm kind of intrigued. Anyone have experience with both and have any input?

I love my 18" 6.5 CM AR10 and I'm trying not to convince myself to chop it to 14.5" but the 14.5" AR10's seem pretty sweet and my MK5 2-10 sure feels more at home on an AR10 than an AR15
