Bedding a Bergara Sierra (plastic stock)

Hey guys,
I do have some Acraglas left over and want to bed my Bergara Sierra.

I once made a full bedding with a Tikka T3x CTR in a plastic stock, but the middle part of the bedding (in the magazine area) broke.
My guess was, that the stock twisted in this area, because it is the week spot of the stock.

So, Acraglas being pretty hard and stiff, and the plastic stock of the Bergara being a bit soft on the surface, what should I do?

- Bedding only the recoil lug
- Bedding recoil lug and tang
- Do a full beding job

What would the experienced inhere do?

Please give me infos.
:)

Reloading 300 Blk in a Progressive Press

I generally load rifle using a single stage press. Most of my rifle is for precision loads (shoot a lot of PRS). W a single stage press I decap, tumble, FL size, tumble to remove lube, check case length, seat primer, drop powder & then seat bullet

300 BLK is not what I would consider a precision round. I want decent ammo but am not trying to get to 0.5 moa w/ it. What would be the sequence for loading in a progressive press?

6.5CM - 147 ELD-M & 41.5 H4350 - Too Hot?

I am loading 6.5CM - 147 ELD-M & 41.5 H4350 in Alpha SRP brass. Average velocity is 2784 FPS. Shooting out of a MPA PMRII w/ a ARC Coup De Grace action & a MPA 26" 1:8 barrel. About every tenth shot the bolt lift is tight (nothing too crazy) and I see minor ejector marks. Primer looks OK.

I did not do much load development on this just settled on something that had a low SD on velocity. Don't want to punish my barrel or brass & I'm not shooting past 1200 yards so dropping a little velocity should not hurt me. Should I find a lower velocity node?

SOLD Springfield Armory Custom 1911 PROFESSIONAL w/LIGHT RAIL

You are looking at a low 3000s serial number Springfield Armory Professional 1911 w/ light rail. These were originally designed and made for the FBI’s elite HRT by the Springfield Armory Custom Shop. These are probably the best custom level, duty-grade 1911s ever made, and sadly are discontinued because SA shut their custom shop down. More info and full specs can be found here: https://www.springfield-armory.com/.../1911-professional-light-rail-45-acp-handgun/

This 1911 has about 700 rounds through it, and was fine tuned by the late-great John Jardine (priceless). It’s a shooter w/ one cosmetic flaw, 1.5 inch light scratch on the top of the slide. Comes with the VZ Grips (shown), the original wood grips, case, accessories, the receipt from John Jardine and six 7rd mags (unused).

Outfitter Recommendations

Good Morning!

I've been thinking about a guided hunt in 2026 or 2027, but don't really know where to start. I'm thinking whitetail, mule deer or pronghorn, and I live in KC so I'd like to drive rather than fly. Wondering if anyone can recommend an outfitter they've had good experience with?

Im not sure what additional info might be helpful, but I'd say my budget is around $5k or less, I'm thinking something like 3-4 days, and I shoot comfortably out to about 400 yrs (which makes me think a western hunt might not be right for me). I'm decently fit, so could hike, and my current deer hunting experience basically involves box blinds over large ag fields......kinda looking to try something a little different that won't crush the bank account too bad.

Thanks!
J

One eye

Hi Guys, Im hoping to get some advice please. I lost my left eye (accident caused an eye stroke so now have a little peripheral vision only), I use my right for shooting luckily enough but everythings 2D now. I had very good eyesight when I was younger but now 54 ... my right eye is both long and short sighted with astigmatism. I have progressive glasses which are amazing. Really keen to get back into shooting after the accident. 2 questions really.

1. Glasses
Do I shoot with my progressives or what other option? I cant read the turrents unless I have glasses on.

2. Binoculars
Best to sell my Mavin 10x as they are a waste but whats a decent monocular?

thank you heaps im advance
