Tikka 260 Rem - First 9 Shots With Different Charge Weights Have Flyers

Issue: All three shot groups have a flyer (3rd shot). The first two shots from all groups are always right next to each other. One group in particular had the first two shots in the same hole. Each group consists of 3 shots. I'll be using the rifle mainly for long-range hunting (100-600 yds) and sometimes target shooting to 1K. All cases were NOT trimmed as it is still under the maximum chamber length (2.0655"). No pressure signs on all of the groups shot. The reloading recipe I'm using is from Nosler. The maximum power grains is 46.0 but I'm still way below that. Their recommended powder charge is 44.0 for the most accurate load. The case length in their recipe is 2.036". I'm using my chamber length as a guide vs their recipe.

Group 1: The first two shots (B1 & B2) were the same hole. 3rd (B3) shot was 0.47" center to center.
G1.jpg

Powder Grains: 42.0

Group 2: 1st and 2nd (B1 & B2)shot are 0.20" center to center. 3rd (B3) shot was 1.49" away.
G2.jpg

Powder Grains: 42.5

Group 3: 1st 7 2nd shot was the same hole (B1 & B2). 3rd shot was 1.3" away.

Powder Grains: 43.0

I shot 9 rounds which is the first load I created for my Tikka 260 Rem on a Manners Stock EH1TK (with mini-chassis) and Benchmark barrel. I'm using Forster Coax Press and RCBS dies. Here are the details of my components.

Case: Hornady, once fired

Chamfered & Deburred: Yes
Shoulder Bump: 002"
Primer: Remington 9 1/2 Large Rifle

Rifle has a bipod and I load it when shooting. I use an ear bag for vertical adjustments.

Used Magnetospeed with bayo firmly attached to the barrel.

Accessories LaRue SPOTR "Z" Rail and "I" Rail

$400 $350 Shipped CONUS- will not separate (unless someone wants to pay the full LaRue price for the Z-Rail). The I Rail is useful for a lot more than for use with the SPOTR system. It can be handy to quickly put on a tripod and you can mount your regular scope on it if you want to check something without having your rifle. First picture is just so you can see the two rails in use.

Recommended Optics

Good afternoon everyone. I'm reaching out with a question. What is your favorite optic under $1,200? I'm moving off of a Nikon 3x9 BDC SFP hunter scope. My max yardage at my old range was 200 yards. I have the ability to go up to 1,000 yards since I moved. What do you guys recommend? I primarily shoot my Ruger GSR in .223/5.56. I've moved up to a Savage Axis in .308 Win. I got it for under $300. I wanted to save most of my budget towards a nice scope. I've never had what I would call, "amazing" optics. So what would recommend? I'm used to SFP, MOA. However I don't mid changing things up.

Frankford arsenal x10

Just bought a Frankford Arsenal x10 press, been using Dillons for a long time but I liked the way this operated. They have the option for using 10 different dies, I'm very familiar with reloading dies etc but I don't think anyone sells a 10 die set. I know you don't have to use them all but I'm avoiding trying to mix and match and buy a die here and another there. My case neck sizing die and bullet seating die will be Frankford but what are folks using for all the others? Does anyone make/sell die sets for the FAx10?

SOLD Vudoo 360 barreled action

Factory built Vudoo 360 barreled action cerakoted in green. About 800rds down the barrel. Shoots lights out. Full transparency I bought a lot of Norma 22lr ammo and the case rim thickness is a little too thick for this setup and you have to cycle the bolt harder than I'd like with that ammo. I am not interested in buying a bunch of new 22lr ammo to figure out what works best, so I'm going to let it go.

- Ace MTU barrel, threaded, 22"
- EC tuner
- 20 MOA rail
- 1x L3i Elite 10rd magazine w/height adjustable mag catch
- 3x Vudoo 10rd polymer mags

asking $1799

Geissele hurricane relief drive, $100 SSA triggers!

https://geissele.com/hurricane-relief-drive.html

Just got this Geissele email and I wanted to share this with everyone here who didn't get the email. Geissele is helping Samaritan's Purse charitable organization raise money for the hurricane victims and 100% of the money raised is going to charity! Geissele is also giving away 10 of their rifles and they created donation packages that give you rifle raffle tickets AND a free Geissele AR15 trigger! It's a win/win all around, and it's a pretty great deal if you want to help donate money to the hurricane victims and get a new trigger for your rifle.

A $20 donation gets you 1 ticket for the rifle raffle, a free Geissele hat, and free bottle of of ALG Go-Juice

A $100 donation gets you 5 tickets for the rifle raffle and a free Geissele SSA trigger

A $160 donation gets you 8 tickets for the rifle raffle and a free Geissele SSA-E trigger

A $200 donation gets you 10 tickets for the rifle raffle and a free Geissele SSA-EX trigger

The most important part is that 100% of the funds raised goes directly to Samaritan's Purse to help the hurricane victims! Right now it sounds like Geissele and Samaritan's Purse are doing more to help the hurricane victims than FEMA, so please donate if you're able to! This fundraising drive ends October 11th, which is this Friday.
