JP LRI-20 Barrel Offset from Handguard

I am planning on purchasing a JP LRP-07/LRI-20 set for a new build. I know that the barrel sits off-center from the hand-guard (ID of 1.75), but cannot for the life of me find how much that offset is. I want to make sure the gas block I select will fit under the hand guard. I emailed JP asking this question and they just mention that all of their gas blocks fit under their hand guard. Their gas block lineup seems to range from .77”-.81” HOB. But some other gas blocks like the SLR 8 have a HOB of ~.91, so I am wondering how close that comes to interfering with the hand guard.

Can anyone with an LRI-20 upper answer this question or even measure the offset for me? Thanks!

Winners Chosen - Next Drawing is November 6th for Sightron Riflescopes

We are thrilled with this giveaway. If you are not familiar with Sightron Riflescopes you should be. Sightron is the only Pacific Rim riflescope brand that I know of that does NOT make any of their riflescopes in China. ALL of their riflescopes are made in in the Philippines or Japan. For this months giveaway we will be giving away 3 each of 2 different riflescopes that they offer. These 2 scopes are made in the Philippines, are great quality hunting scopes and both are scopes you should be aware of.

3 lucky folks will each receive a Sightron S1 1.75-5x32 G2 - Duplex:
Sightron engineers sought to create the perfect close-range hunting riflescope when designing the Sightron S1 1.75-5x32mm G2 riflescope. Using modern optical designs and manufacturing techniques, the S1 1.75-5x32mm G2 provides clear and sharp views in just about any lighting due to Sightron’s all-glass lenses and exclusive MC-333 lens coatings. Sightron’s Precision Focus Eyepiece provides a customizable sight picture with extended eye relief. A compact, lightweight 1-inch aircraft aluminum tube houses an all-new erector tube system which is nitrogen charged, O-ring sealed, providing IPX7 waterproof and fogproof performance, and construction is 1,000G rated shockproof. All of this provides the ability to take the hunt to the field earlier and later than ever and handle whatever obstacles Mother Nature throws at you.

Tikka TAC A1 chassis vs. KRG Whiskey 3

I apologize in advance as this has probably been debated to death but I am getting another Tikka for a predator hunting/NRL Hunter/PRS rifle to act as a backup to my CTR in a KRG Bravo.

I am between a TAC A1, mostly because there is a used one for sale at a good price, and a getting a CTR and putting it in a KRG Whiskey 3 folder which would cost a bit more. I really like folding stocks. It will get carried slung, on the seat of a truck, on a snowmobile, and used on short stalks.

The TAC A1 would be cheaper but I would need some mags for it while I already have a bunch of AICS mags. For the Whiskey 3 I would need an ARCA rail and spigot as well.

Is there any major advantage or disadvantage to either setup or reason you would choose one over the other? Maybe durability or something I am overlooking. I have shot both setups but not in a while.
