Barrel is a 20” 1 in 10 twist, has 50 rounds on it up to now. Did a quick break in. Sharing this because I couldn’t find anything on it.
Only running factory loads at the time to break in and collect brass. It seemed to favor the 36 gr prairie enemy a little more breaking it in but they are nonexistent right now so I loaded up on Hornady’s 40gr vmax ammo. The 10 shot group was the other day, no cold bore warm up or anything just laid down 10 shots in a row. Mirage got terrible last 2 shots.

Hi! I’m new to the long rifle game. Slightly experienced with handguns and carbines, but when it comes to precision rifles I can barely tell the front of the rifle from the back. Looking forward to learning!

What is the bolt size that this head mounts up to. My department issues bog tripods and I am tapped out on money after fitting the bill for the rifle and other equipment. I have found an adapter to change to a ball head. What I am wanting to do is put the invert 40 head on the adapter and when I am able I will buy the legs. The adapter uses 3/8-16.

If the fatboy does not work with the adapter what is another good ball head that will fit this adapter. I am trying to not just throw money away and still make the best of the equipment issued.

A friend of mine and I decided to sign up for a PRS 2 day match next month in Cambria CA. I've just ventured out past 300 yards in the last couple of years and am comfortable with my shooting ability. I have zero expectations as far as ranking, I simply want the experience of doing it. I do however want to have a decent idea of what to expect. I've read the rules, no issues there. I've been reading some posts on here for first matches (read all 3 pages of Raptoraddicts post) and watched a few Youtube videos from that post. I originally intended to use my Remington 700 in .308 Win but the more I look into it the more I'm having second thoughts. It has a standard floor plate and is not magazine fed. On top of that it's single feed as my hand loads are 2.908" to get to within .020" to the lands so even if i switched bottom metal mags won't work. Thinking about switching guns and using my 6.5 Grendel gas gun. It's lighter, less recoil and has a very similar bullet drop as compared to my .308. I don't think ill have a good time trying to single feed a bolt gun from the odd positions that it seems I'm going to encounter. What are your opinions on gun selection and any other advice for a first PRS match is certainly appreciated. Thanks.

For sale is a Leupold Mark 8 3.5-25, illuminated H58 reticle and the Leupold 35mm mount. There is a small cosmetic mark on the right side of the objective that I can touch up if wanted. speeds are good, es is 5-7 from 2850-2925 but group sizes are hovering around 1moa for 5. The gun shoots factory into half that.

Any recommendations on how. Much to jump the eldms? At Sami nominal coal it's jumping 79 thou
