I realize this pales in comparison to a lot of the NV stuff I see posted online, but for someone who has zero experience with NV and who wants something decent without investing a lot up front, I think this is a good option. I have been wanting to pick up a pvs14 for years, but a new rifle or a new scope always seemed to take priority. With this new deal emailed to me yesterday, it finally pushed me over the edge to try it out. As a bonus, it was literally shipped within an hour of ordering!

I will update after it arrives. Anyone have any advice in the mean time?

Say, theoretically, we are able to take back all three branches of govt. in 2024 and have a filibuster proof majority in the Senate (I know... Herculean effort). But if it did happen, would this not be the perfect time for a "Constitutional Convention" to make some significant amendments happen. And, I believe we have enough states to ratify most of these, so it's a matter of getting them through the convention part. What would you want to see them tackle?

For me, the following:

1) Fix the count of SCOTUS Justices at the present level, 9, and not allow the court to be "packed." Re-affirm the "Appointment for life" for all justices unless they choose to retire or are impeached, tried and convicted.

2) Clarify the 2nd Amendment as follows:

The right of the "People" to keep and bear arms as outlined in the 2nd Article of Amendment is an individual right and applies equally to each and every law abiding US Citizen. No US citizen shall be denied that right unless convicted of a violent felony or adjudicated mentally incapable of possessing arms by a competent Court of law. In either case, the person denied that right will, after a period of time after release from incarceration or mental recovery (10 years), be eligible to apply for reinstatement of those rights. "Arms," as defined in this amendment include any/all "conventional" handheld firearm devices, parts, and accessories that can be attached to them. No Federal, state or municipal Govt. shall deny any Law abiding US Citizen the right to construct, possess & utilize any such weapons/devices, as long as they are not "prohibited persons" per the above and as long as the weapons are used for "lawful" purposes.

3) An amendment formally prohibiting the US, State and/or local govts. from confiscating a US Citizen's property (temporarily or permanently) without a formal trial or hearing at which both parties are present (ie. not "Ex Parte") and at which the forfeiture of that property is a component of the sentence or judgement, after the final adjudication at that trial/hearing. If held temporarily (as evidence), the subject has the right to recover that property and to sue the govt, for damages, should that property be unrecoverable or damaged while held as evidence. The US Citizen has an absolute right to a formal accounting by the govt. of what was taken, temporarily or otherwise as an aide to recovery, should the court rule in the citizen's favor. {Hopefully, this covers Red-Flag law confiscations and Civil Asset Forfeitures}.



What amendments would you like to see at the next Constitutional Convention, if we could get one convened?

Looking at doing a 22 creedmoor build and saw Areo has their Solus barreled actions on sale for a hair over 1k. Anyone have any experience with them? Specially the quality of barrels they spin on? Going to be a hunting and precision plinking rig, no comps though. I have numerous other options, just asking because I'm curious.

Massive, turnkey long range package for sale.

This rifle was custom built last spring by Triggered Precision Machine, chambered in 338 Lapua Improved (40 degree). This was purpose built for the 2024 Nightforce ELR match this last June. I used it to take 8th place in the match, it shoots insanely well out to 2,500 (furthest I've shot it). Overall there is around $12,000 invested here.

It comes with two barrels, both Brux 9 twist MTU contour blanks. The Cerakoted green barrel has 380 rounds through it and is 30" long. The raw stainless barrel has 320 through it and is 29" long. Both barrels shoot the same. The green barrel was used for load dev. and fire forming. Both barrels are threaded 3/4x24 and have plenty of life left.

It also comes with a ton of brass. There are 192 pieces of cleaned, 4x fired, fireformed Lapua brass, 33 pieces of new, unfired Lapua brass, aspprox. 100 pieces of 1x fired Lapua brass (non-fireformed) and 68 rounds of the competition load topped with 256 Warner Flatlines. There are also 120 fresh, unloaded Warner 256 Flatline slugs to reload which are included. These are single-feed rounds.

The rifle shoots around 3/8 MOA with this load ( load data available to replicate ) and pushes the 256 Flatlines at just under 3100 fps which is mild for this rifle.

The rifle was bedded into the chassis, action bolts were replaced with fitted grade 9 allen bolts and Nord Lock washers. Total weight as pictured is 23.5 lbs.

A set of Hornady Custom reloading dies are included, the seating die includes a micrometer and the Hornady A-Tip seating Stem.

I'm still working on finishing my LRB M25 scout rifle with a 18.5" medium weight Kreiger SS barrel, but I wanted to test the action and get a baseline for this rifle. I threw it in a GI wood stock and took it out to the range.

It gave a fantastic initial performance! I only shot 10 rounds to get the scope zeroed and finished off with 5 rounds of Federal 175 grain gold medal match. End result was a 0.93" group at 100 yards with my Vortex Razor HD Gen II 1-6x scope!






The next up was a rifle that Wes Howe sent me to sell. I have an identical rifle with a different barrel and I told him whichever shoots better is the one I'm keeping. Well, his shot much better than mine! I built this rifle for him a few years ago and it hasn't been shot since the day I test fired it. It did not disappoint and produces a 3/4" group with a Leupold MK 5 1-4.5x service rifle scope. This one has a Kreiger 22" medium stainless barrel.




This will be my CMP "Modern Military" rifle.

I'm looking forward to getting my kevlar stock painted and bedded to the scout to see what else it can do. It's already shooting lights-out with an un-bedded GI stock.
