HH Kehner Winchester Pre-64 H&H 300 engraved

I was recently was able to acquire a HH Kehner Winchester Pre-64 300 H&H mag. Engraved and carved. Serial # is 406*** which I think is 1957. Want to know more about it. it has a 4-10 Nickel scope with a claw mount. I think it has drilled and tapped places for a Picatinny if I remove the claw mounts. Probably just shoot it for a while.

Some that I know. Please expand if you know anything else.

This beautiful rifle appears to be unused, perhaps fired once or twice at best. The rifle was made by Winchester circa 1957. Alleged to have been made for a US officer stationed in Frankfurt in 1958, the gun was built to American tastes with impeccable workmanship.

H&H Zehner brothers were the preeminent German rifle builders of the mid-century era. During a time of strict gun control during post-WWII reconstruction Zehner was able to operate by serving US officers on commissioned pieces. There work is some of the finest to come out of Europe during the era and due to their connection to American clients, was the only one using superior American Winchester actions on some of their custom pieces. (American Officers could buy Winchesters through the PX on base to provide the actions to Zehner)

The rifle is chambered in 300 H&H. Custom walnut stock with ebony grip cap, fore end tip and shadow line cheek rest. Carved and beautifully checkered stock. Prolific foliate engraving and a scene of a ram on the magazine. French gray receiver. Gloss bluing elsewhere throughout over the other foliate engraving. German claw mounts.

The optic is a lovely B. Nickel 6-10x scope made by Hertel & Reuss (now part of Swarovski)

6.5 Creedmoor
Cut by Curtis Custom Weapons
Sendero Light contour

3lbs-3oz
24"
5/8-24 muzzle threads

$550 Shipped

This barrel is like new, with only 60 rounds fired. The inside looks like new. See bore scope pics, the first one is of the throat and shows no cracking yet (bore scope pics are current, taken on Monday 8/26, date shown in pics is incorrect). I decided to move to a heavier steel barrel for competition, but based on the little amount of shooting I've done with this barrel, it's a hammer. If you're looking for a lightweight 6.5 CM barrel for your Impact, then look no further - you will be extremely happy with this one.

New Tim Walz MN law goes into effect in 2025 requiring teachers to affirm transgender and Marxist ideology. Christians prohibited.

MINNESOTA: A new law drafted by Governor Tim Walz goes into effect in 2025 requiring that all teachers who wish to obtain a license to teach in Minnesota MUST affirm and adhere to the transgender system and Marxist ideology, otherwise licenses will not be granted. Christians, Jews, Muslims, and other adherents of established spirituality are prohibited from becoming teachers.

----------
----------
The teacher fosters an environment that ensures student identities such as race/ethnicity, national origin, language, sex and gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, physical/developmental/emotional ability, socioeconomic class, and religious beliefs are historically and socially contextualized, affirmed, and incorporated into a learning environment where students are empowered to learn and contribute as their whole selves (emphasis added).
----------
----------
Teachers renewing their licensing must “Show evidence of self-reflection and discussion of” topics that include “Gender Identity, Including Transgender Students” and “Sexual Orientation.” They must also show they understand “bias” in themselves and their students related to race, sexual orientation, gender identity, and other cultural Marxist categories.
----------
----------
The 13-member board that made these changes is appointed by the governor, whom for the last six years has been Walz. So, Walz is poised to make similar bigoted, totalitarian, and unconstitutional policies across the United States should he be elected vice president.

Precision Rifle Gear Tier One FTR Bipod Adapter

I ordered a Tier One FTR Bipod with a pic rail adapter, but I think I got the wrong adapter. Their website has the code T1FTR-QDPIC engraved on the adapter, but the one I received shows T1FTR-012 engraved on it. Can anyone confirm if this is right? I'm trying to get a response from Tier One, but they have been rather slow in responding to my emails.

Who hunts with a 14-16lb rifle?

Curious to hear who hunts with a 14-16lb rifle?

Getting a new barrel spun and my chassis, bipod, trigger, action, scope and rings weight 9.7lb. Want to use this for NRL hunter as well. I can get a match heavy Palma barrel for $335 shipped so I’m leaning towards that cut to a 24” which would put the build at around 15lb. Would prefer a medium Palma but the heavy Palma is too good a deal. When hunting in Wyoming the rifle will be packed in an Eberlestock with a scabbard so the weight is on my back. Is this a terrible idea?

Also, is a 24” for a 6.5CM going to be detrimental to accuracy with factory ammo? I could go 26” I guess. Talk me into/out of it

Thanks I’m advance

Loading 6.5CM in Hornady brass

I recently bought a set Redding 6.5CM dies and some 1x fired Hornady brass. Neck diam is 0.295”. After FL resizing neck diam is 0.289”. After you seat bullet (Hornady Amax) neck diam is 0.289”.
Basically this is -0- neck tension. I have some Type S dies and try to run 0.0025-0.003” neck tension

Cood there be an issue with way the die was ground?

How much neck tension are you getting w Hornady brass?
Thanks!!
