I strip my bolt after shooting. When reassembleing I always have trouble getting the firing pin to start screwing. I’m old and don’t have the strength to hold both ends of bolt at the same time to get the pin started in the nut. Yesterday I decided to try a new way to so with everything in place I placed a fired case in the back of the nut in the space available. Now holding the back of the bolt it’s easy to push the pin in to the nut to begin screwing it in to the nut. This procedure is hard for me to describe so I hope all will be able to understand what to do when beginning to the bolt assemble.

looking for input on sizes used. I find the airfoil bag is good except when i have to pump it too much for downward angles as it makes it hard on the top and can round the bottom and i can get some stock slide sideways especially when using it with tiny rifles vs a heavy.

I also have a full height heavy with handle Protecktor thats too high at other times with smaller rifles. I was thinking of the 1" shorter one to fill a gap for me and was wondering if anyone has feedback and what ear sizes they use. The ELR low one might be too redundant for me compared to the airfoil.

Im trying not to get PRS ish with a million bags (too late really) but especially if im not using a phoenix or other highly adjustable front that i wind up in some weird spots where im crushing a squeeze bag for elevation with a nearly shaking hand or im pumping an airfoil too much to get the damn bore down

any other 'middle height options' im missing? Should I really be considering the metal rear bag adjuster plate for where they are allowed?

I was wondering if anybody has seen their CA stock crack right here before? Noticed it the day after a short range session. Total round count on the rifle is only 241 rounds. 300 Win Mag running pretty mild handloads ( 200 gr ELD-X with 66.4 gr of IMR4350 ). I have had this rifle sent in for warranty work before cause the bolt knob had snapped after being tripped by my dog with the rifle in my hand and it hitting the ground lol. So maybe it happened during that whole mess but was only a tiny hairline crack that has now grown to this? I figured I would of seen it before hand and also would think CA would of caught while installing a new bolt.

I recently picked up a Sako S20 in 6.5CM. I literally have 1000’s of 123 SMK’s and Scenars. I am gonna start out with the Scenars. I currently load 40.5gr IMR4064 with the SMK’s in a 260 Rem I have and get 3000fps. I would like to shoot in the 2800-2850 range with the CM. Just a plinker, play rifle, 600yd max
I do not have quikLoad. Any suggestions on where to start would be appreciated. I hav a lifetime supply WW748 but I have doubts I can get good results with that
