Should anyone be looking for a 2 minute reset... step on in...

JUL 1-3, 1863... (161 years ago for those here challenged by math) things were pretty dang rough here in our country. Far more turmoil than issues like open borders, corrupt media, pandemics, or questionable leadership brings to the table presently but sure that was present even then.

I'm talking about 4 years of absolute carnage, brother against brother- bayonet against bayonet style of fighting... over convictions and an established moral code (yep I said it/summarized it) over how a population would be governed just shy of 100 years into our country's establishment.

With that preface- while we were absolutely tearing ourselves apart nationally, there was one speech, that lasted all but 2 minutes that forever went into history and while I'd have to imagine most of our members here learned about it in school (however many years ago), we can all benefit by a refresher...

Can muzzle brakes reduce or increase ES/SD?

Can muzzle brakes cause high ES/SD? From time to time I see forums comments saying that they can.
Have you ever observed this personally? For those that have to shoot with brakes, it would be useful to know which brands to avoid.

Then Eric Cortina said in one of his videos that his EC tuner brake diverts gas in a way that will reduce ES/SD. What are your thoughts? Has anyone been able to confirm this via testing? Login to view embedded media

SOLD Vortex Razor HD Gen 3 6-36 Mil EBR-7D -$2200

10.5 Alexander Arms 6.5 grendel pistol 1k

I went to ThunderValley today and shot my 10.5 inch 6.5 Grendel full Alexander arms build out to 1k. This was off a front bag and a brace on the back, which is not a very stable plat form Only thing changed on the grendel was the trigger. I was shooting 123 eld-m and was averaging 2316 putting my transonic out to 1075.

I shot 10 rounds out to 1k I had a 10-15 mile an hour swirling wind. 400 wind was showing 7:30 1k flag was showing full value to 3. 1 mile wind flag was wrapping it self around the pole. Welcome to Thunder Valley..... Also this was in a down poor.


Scope eotech 1-10........

3-10 rounds impacted......... lots of rounds off right and left edge. I would easily say 8-10 would have hit a full larue. I have shooting at a 12 inch square.

I has the same muzzle energy as a 9mm at point blank. Impressed to say the least.

is casper wyoming a good spot to move to for work?

Whats the story with the casper area? Is there any good elk hunting around there? How is the crime, cost of living? is it predominately republican or democrat? I have lived in northern MN and the Fargo area so I know what bad winters are like. I would like to eventually retire in wyoming. I have traveled the northern half of the state, but never down by casper or cheyene. I would like to get some acreage to shoot on. I grew up on a farm and have lived in the country on acreage most of my life. What can you guys tell me that I should know?

Need Ideas for night shoot stages

I have a location were we can shoot at night. And we are planning a night shoot. I have done a few stages at night., but could use more, all targets are steel and will be inside 750 yards
I have shooting off jeep lights
Back lit targets
Front lit targets
Yellow strobe light
Road flares red light
Candle light
Any other ideas please chime in.

Mdt precision bottom metal fitment question

Seeing if anyone can confirm an issue I am having with a mdt precision bottom metal I am using for a build.

I bought a manners pro hunter with m5 mini chassis. I received this mdt bottom metal and tried to mount the action. The bottom metal doesn’t fully contact the manners mini chassis. The bottom metal “lip” is contacting the bottom of the stock (circled in red).

I sent both the bottom metal and stock to
Manners and they had it for a cpl weeks trying to determine if they could make it work. They even contacted mdt. In the end I decided to have them ship it back and ordered Hawkins bottom metal.

Does anyone have mdt bottom metal they can confirm has this same lip? I sent the photos to mdt and they said it’s normal, but it doesn’t look right. It has a weird step up that doesn’t flow from front to back. Any photos to compare would be great! I have seen others use this same combo which is making me question the one I have.
