I've been enamored with shooting subsonic suppressed lately. I've also been enjoying shooting with my 12 year old son and it's great if neither one of us is making a bunch of noise. I know it's early but what are your thoughts about the cartridge, do you think it's worth spending time and money getting a nice action/barrel, or would there not be enough benefit and is the cartridge more suited to a less expensive mass produced rifle?

I know the cartridge was designed for ar-15s, but I'm more interested in a bolt gun. I have a 6 arc bolt and having tons of fun with it.

Hey everyone I'm new to the site and looking for some help to zero my rifle.

I have a Q Fix .308 with a 16" 1/10 twist barrel. I'm shooting Hornady ELD-X 178gr that chronos at 2408. Using a Leupold Mk-5HD 3.6-18x44 mounted on a 1.54" Reptilia AUS mount which puts me at right around 2.5" inches over bore.

I zeroed in at 100 yards and am stacking rounds at that distance but when I move out to 200, 300, 400 and so on my BC Calculator is putting me high at all distances until like 600 yards. Coincidentally if I set my zero to 200 yards in the app all of my come ups match what I was writing down on the range for my 100 yard zero.

Any ideas?

I'm considering building an AR platform in 22-250. Looking for a small base die set and see they are no longer made by RCBS. I don't want to be married to factory ammo if I go this route. Does anyone have any experience with this type of setup? Just curious.

What size/caliber suppressor is issued with the military MK22?

I notice Barrett makes 300 and 338 suppressors for the civilian market.

Would a 338 suppressor perform better on the .308/.300 calibers?

I've got a smaller, but beautifully coated bobcat that likes to walk one of our trails here on the ranch this year. I'd really like to save the coat of this one, and won't just be shooting it like I do the others when I happen across it.

I've had good success snaring coyotes in the past, but I really don't do any trapping with every other commitment I have here that eats time. My experience is limited to snares and 330 Conibears...and dogproof coon traps that I do actually use frequently (but that doesn't really count). My experience for bobcats is ZERO.

So if you've caught some cats, I'd love for you to link perhaps a video that shows a successful method...or if there is an idiot who makes a lot of bad videos, I'd love to know whose content to avoid. The stuff is all over YouTube, but I've seen some conflicting methods.

Any insight is appreciated.
