I’ve been a pistol shooter for many years, shot some local USPSA back in the 90s before work and life got in the way. Never much time behind a long gun but I enjoy it and hope to shoot some longer range stuff. Struggling with whether or not to keep the older REM 700 5r .308 I have already or switch to something more up to date with lighter faster projectiles. Here to learn!

Has anyone had the chances to put a GPO Centuri Super Compact through the paces? I'm considering a 4-16x44i FFP for an ultralight rifle I put together for hunting here in the Rockies.

The features look great. And the weight is the best I've seen for an FFP in a usable mag range for western hunting. All the reviews out there seem to be positive, though there are very few, as they're fairly new to the market. Hoping someone has a bit of time with one at this point and can speak to their experience as far as durability and reliable tracking.

I'm not concerned about the debate of which country they're assembled or marketing strategy.

I know there's alot of good 5-30x56 scopes out there. Burris XTR Pro. Steiner T6xi. Etc. But came across this scope recently and couldn't find much information on it. Anyone have any experience that could give a comparison?

Currently I have a COMP m5s on my HK MR556 A4 11” SBR. The red dot isn’t crisp to my right eye anymore due to an astigmatism I have. It gets a little cleaner with my prescription sunglasses. I was debating putting a magnifier on it OR switching to an eotech with magnifier OR putting an LPVO like the NX8 on but don’t want to be overkill. I can say that the comp m5s with magnifier is the most expensive option with the eotech being cheapest. I can get the LPVO on expert voice for a percentage off. Is this overkill for a 11” gun?
