I have a Seekins SP10. It has successfully chambered (from magazine) Hornady 129 American HUNTER, Hornady 140 ELDM, Hornady 143 ELDX, Hornady Black 140 BTHP, SIG 130 Elite Hunter tipped. I purchased a box of Berger 140 Elite Hunter with the hybrid ogive bullet profile. First attempt to chamber from lock-back, and the bullet hung up while leaving the magazine riding up the feed ramps? I removed the bullet and installed 2 in the magazine. Then released the BCG from lock back and it loaded fine. Is it a known “thing” that these hybrid ogive bullets may not load great in an AR10 because the sleeker shape of the bullet may get hung up in feed ramps? I have never had even 1 “failure to load” in 160 shots (new AR) in my SP10. I’m thinking these Bergers may be more of a bolt rifle round? The Hornady Balck 140 BTHP looks similar to the Berger in that it doesn’t have the poly tip like the Hornady 140 ELDM and 143 ELDX. But I don’t think the 140 BTHP has the hybrid ogive shape. The Hornady Black 140 BTHP feeds just fine. Thanks

In excellent condition. Some very, very faint scratches on the objective lenses from cleaning if you look very closely, unnoticeable unless you look very closely. Everything works 100% as it should, great glass and great rangefinder.

Leica recently went through and checked evrything in May of this year with a clean bill of health.

Comes with case, binos, SD card, neck strap. No lens covers. What you see in the pics is what you get.

Thought I wanted to get into 6BR, but realized I don’t even have time to shoot and load for what I already have, so moving on…
Keeping all this together for now. And as of now, would only separate if the barrel sold first.

Barrel: I picked this barrel up off of here a while back.
It’s a PVA prefit for a TL3, 8 twist, medium Palma, 24” length, threaded 5/8-24.
Previous owner said it had 800 rounds down the pipe, and it’s rattle canned green, with some custom rub marks.

Brass: found these locally. The guy said they were once fired, but I can’t guarantee it. 65 of them are cleaned and appear ready to load, and the 14 in the bag are a mix of fired, and some primed brass.

Bullets: 258 105 grain A-Max, and a 3/4 full box of 75 grain V-Max. (I didn’t count the 75’s)

Dies: picked these up local as well. The pics tell the story.

Hey all,

I have a rifle with an insanely short throat. It's an FN SPR with a custom 308 barrel and chamber. Previous owner said he had built it specifically for 155s.

Regular factory ammo will not fit without jamming. Does anyone know what a ballpark figure would be to have it reamed out?

I'm debating if it's worth buying and spending on 155s and loading that.

Or... Spending on reaming out the throat and use up the bunch of factory ammo I already have and loading for it with components I already have.

Olympic skeet shooting...but still this has to suck !

Just curious if there are true real world benefits to moving over to the SACs seating die apart from the fact that one can use one die on multiple calibers. Has anyone switched over to the SACs seating die and seen a difference in their loading and on paper? If so what were you using prior to the SAC's die?
