Finnish Black Jack Competition

We do not have a shooting range like you do have in US, in Finland.
And thank´s to EU, these shooting range are like dying dinosaurs.
There is a lead ban talk in the EU in the same time, war is going on on Ukraine, like WTF!
But anyways, i have done one shooting competition up here in Finland, thank´s to
Erik Cortina 500 yards BlackJack challenge.
We do have still some 300-meter range´s in Finland, but only one 500-meter range, that is open for public.
So we need to figure it out, that if we can not shoot 500 yards / 457 meters, which is 0.376 MOA, so we need to make
one with our rules, so we did make the targets smaller, to be equall to the Cortina 500 yard shooting competition.
So we had our first, so called Susiraja Black Jack Challenge competition in the last summe, June 15th.
10-shooters + blind.
2-minutes time, 12 rounds, from the largest to smallest, like Cortina competition.
And we had a blast :)

And now, there is a new edition made by one Finnish shooter, that
has a little different rules.
Still 300-meters, but 6 plates, 2-minutes and from the biggest to smallest, but if you miss the last, the game is over.
And to let you know, that the smallest target in 300-meters is 3cm / 30mm is equall as 0.348 MOA, and that is just a tiny
bit smaller thant the Cortina target size, but i can sure you, it is not easy.
That´s why i do salute all the guys that has been on Eric Cortina challenge, it aint easy.
And for sure, there is open field, etc, but i am not going to say that we do compete with the Erik Cortina idea, just
want to say that we have made the idea of that, and made the system of our, because shooting
with the accyracy rifle is like making a sex with a VERY beautiful woman ;)

SOLD Bergara Premier HMR Pro in Grayboe Ridgeback (Price drop!)

Selling a like new Bergara Premier HMR Pro (completely different rifle than the standard HMR in terms of quality!) in a Grayboe Ridgeback stock. Chambered in 6.5 Creedmoor. Has the Grayboe AICS bottom metal, Triggertech Primary trigger, and Area 419 20moa scope rail. Comes with one Bergara 5rd mag. Additional mags upon request. Rifle had 10 rounds shot through it. Great for a PRS setup.

In my personal opinion, this Premier action was twice as good as my Tikka CTR action. Bolt lift is smoother and lighter, and overall it just feels better.

Price is $1700$1500 or best offer, shipped to your FFL. Payment via PP F&F (preferred) or cashapp.
May be willing to negotiate a sale on just the barreled action.

Geissele Cut Rifled AR15 Barrels

I havent seen any testing or reviews of these out there. Just ordered a White Oak 20" Geissele 5R Cut-Rifled 1-7 service rifle barrel threaded 5/8-24... Looking forward to testing this and seeing how it stacks up to my 20" WOA Bartlein, Krieger and Wilson service rifle barrels......

Anyone have one of these in hand and tested? Yes, I've heard 3rd party rumblings that they shoot, but haven't seen any independent testing, comparisons or reviews or talked to anyone directly that has one.

Steven Crowder's MugClub

Did anyone expect for some Canadian-American kid to become the dominating figure in journalisming? I've had a mug for a long ass time because I thought he was funny, but now I can't let my membership expire because he's the only option for investigative journalism.
I have high hopes for the boys at daily wire too, but so far it's not been as juicy as Crowder's stories.

New 8.6 Blackout Build

I have begun my search for components for a new 8.6 Blackout build and am looking for recommendations for a barrel blank, 1 in 3 twist, 16" MTU, M24, heavy Palma contour etc. (weight of this barrel will not be a concern.) Can you recommend a barrel mfgr that makes blanks for these rough parameters? I'm also in search of a reputable gunsmith with history of machining bolt action builds in this caliber. I will be shooting this rifle suppressed (have a TBAC 338 Ultra I expect to get out of jail soon.) I will also be reloading for this caliber. Primary use will be shooting off a bipod w/rear bag with a high degree of accuracy in mind. Suggestions?

Lightweight hunting stock for RimX .22LR

I recently sold my chassis system for the RimX. The barreled action, trigger, mags has been up for sale for awhile with no movement. I'm thinking about just dropping this into a lightweight, carbon fiber or otherwise, hunter stock. My primary hunting rifle is a Gunwerks Nexus and I love the feel and ergonomics of that stock. I've reached out to Gunwerks to see if that stock would work with this platform.

Any recommendations? Intended use is plinking/stalking so weight is a factor. Thanks.

New member seeking help JP LRP-07

Hello all. I was unfortunately fortunate enough to inherit multiple long range / bench rest guns along with reloading equipment etc. In the last 8 months I have familiarized myself with these guns, reloading equipment and long range shooting in general. My question involves two of the guns I have inherited. The first is a DPMS varmint heavy barrel upper in .223, Aero lower that I built with a Daniel Horner timney trigger, the scope is a leupold VX-III 8.5-25. I can put really solid groups together with this rifle. my best group being a 1.5 inch group at 220 yards. so far it has liked almost all the ammo that I have made and put through it. It is just a pleasure to shoot. It is also worth noting that this gun has a junky stock on it right now as i havnt had the time to buy and install a PRS lite which i plan for this gun. The second gun I inherited was a JP Enterprises LRP-07 in .308. This gun has a vortex razor HD 4.5-27 with a Calvin elite trigger that i installed. when I got the gun it had the factory roller trigger. I for the life of me cannot shoot this gun worth a crap with either trigger. I realize that this JP rife is many times better than my DPMS upper however I have trouble getting a 5 shot group to stay within an 8 inch target paper at 220. And even then the groups don't ever show much of a pattern that I could make zero adjustments off of. I have watched many videos about long distance shooting and believe I have an understanding of proper technique. I inherited other bolt guns in .308 and 22-250 which recoil similar if not more than the JP rifle and I shoot those fine. And the previous owner of this JP rifle could stack shots at 220 yards. I have tried many different loads through this rifle from 115 grain all the way up to 170 grain. Before I resort to paying for a professional lesson I was wondering if there is anything this group could offer to me that I might have missed. guns will be pictured, they are the top two. Thanks all for your time!

War in Ukraine

  • Do we continue to send more military aid

    Votes: 3 10.7%
  • Do we make a concerted effort to broker a peace.

    Votes: 26 92.9%

Giving that our beloved President (greatest president of all times according to his wife and a couple of highly ranked members of congress) has just sent another $8,000,000,000.00 in military aid to Ukraine to continue in their efforts to defeat Russia, what really should we be doing?

Brokering a peace would surely save untold amounts of our tax dollars in paid interest to the red chinese over loans to fund this and other projects, some necessary and some simply pork salad for certain congressional districts.

However, would the peace be a true peace or simply a break before another war breaks out.

Tough question. My thoughts. Since we are trillions into debt right now, I am not so sure that unlimited spending by folks who don’t / won’t be paying it back, all the while enriching themselves at our apparent expense, peace is better than embarrassing russian further.

Your thoughts. Be nice, I am jsut the messenger. (Like hell but its fun to say it anyway).

Firearms Christensen Arms 6.5 CR Barreled action 26" heavy barrel

Christensen Arms Barreled action. 6.5 Creedmoor. This was from a MESA long Range Model. Excellent condition. Bought it from a friend who said it shot very well with 140s but never fired it myself so I can't speak to exact round count but he said it wasn't very many. Doesn't have many rounds down it based upon the condition. I can provide some bore scope pics of the throat area to an interested buyer . I bought it used to chop down to make a shorty out of but decided it would still be heavier than what I would want for the application. Barrel is a heavy contour and is 26" Long, threaded 5/8x24' with a brake. Factory tungsten ceracote on receiver & barrel and bolt is nitrided. Trigger Tech Trigger, 20 moA picatinny rail. These are 700 pattern actions so drop into a stock or chassis of your choice and go shoot Ships from my FFL to your FFL $900
