Autotrickler Q’s

I’m looking at getting rid of my chargemasters and getting an autotrickler v3 or v4 with the ingenuity system.

First off, is it worth the wait for a v4 over a v3 both with that system on them?

Secondly, is there a noticeable improvement in speed with the v4?

Thirdly, how much time and or accuracy does a guy gain by using the ingenuity system?

The charge masters both going at the same time are fast enough but even calibrated with the same weights and using the same pan to check they will throw some .1-.2 different charges. Does it matter, probably not. Does it bother me, yes.

SOLD WTS Impact 787 7PRC

WTS an Impact 787 (full rail) in 7PRC. Everything was purchased brand new by me. I had Wade put this gun together, mounted my scope, took it to range and fire exactly 5 rounds of Hornady precision hunter to zero then gun went back in the safe. Gun is in like new condition. Rifle sits in an MPA hybrid chassis, has a 22" Bartlein carbon fiber barrel (sendero profile). The only thing that is not new are the trigger and brake, they were take offs from a previously owned rifle. The trigger is a Calvin elite, and the brake is a Tbac...both function as they should. Only selling at this time...no trades please. I want to see if complete rifle sells before breaking up package. Also, I will include the accurate mag however, it is not the correct size mag and the 7prc bullets will not feed. I am selling rifle only no scope. I will only ship conus and your FFL must accept from an individual. I do not have a problem with removing trigger and brake if they are not needed.

Rifle: $3550 shipped

Filling a case with powder using a long copper tube

In talking with some experienced ELR guys, one of the comments / recommendations was to use a long copper tube to fill the cases with powder. The idea hear was that by using the long copper tube, the kernel settle better in the case allowing a more compact load.

This is obviously for those who fill their cases to the max, which is the case with anyone pushing 200+ gr bullets over a mile.

I am just looking for feedback and confirmation that this is really a thing. I am new to ELR and I do find myself pushing the limits with powder to get the desired velocities.

Updated advice on optics at or under $1500

Looking for advice and opinions on a scope purchase with a budget up to around 1500 bucks. I've never paid that much for a scope so ie..I've never had a "good" scope before. I'm looking for something that the glass is good enough to see mirage at distances no further than 1000 yards. The most distance I usually shoot is under 800 yards. A little more capability wouldn't hurt. Not looking for anything with more than 25x. I've drove myself nuts looking through reviews, reading, and trying to decipher what the best options are. Seems like a 34 mm tube is preferred and 56mm objectives seem to be the latest and greatest. Tracking seems to be important but with some of the fancier reticles with elevation in the reticle then Idk if it matters so much anymore. Please feel free to share some knowledge to help a fellow make an informed decision. Thanks all in advance.

The Everyday Sniper Podcast: The Great Reset

So even though I did a couple podcast since My Mom passed away, I wanted to address all the changes that have happened since July 1st.

On July 1st we started the process to upgrade the site's engine to one designed for the future. Future proofing an online experience is not only important, it's necessary for a healthy internet community. While many people dislike change, this one was more under the hood then physical, but it does have some valid physical limitations.

Topics Covered:

  • Technical Support, don't email Frank he has no clue
  • Hide TV App vs SH Forum App
  • Hide TV Future - Your Living Room
  • Online Training Lessons have moved - See CR2 Shooting Solutions
  • Video's Future vs the Written Word when it comes too content creation
I really appreciate the patience while we transition. I know nobody likes technical difficulties and I understand some of you had technical difficulties, but we also have a pipeline to fix it.

Thank you all, for not just your patience, your support during the passing of my Mom, the changes taking place, and with the entire Sniper's Hide infrastructure. Cheers to you all.

Thanks for listening, thanks for sharing, thanks for being a part of the Everyday Sniper Podcast

Optics Wtt/wts rzr lht 3-15 Mrad

Pretty simple... Would like a bit more mag and a bit. More travel and a illuminaon dial. SFP or FFP OK depending on reticle.

Great glass in perfect shape.
Can include Ken Farrell ultralow steel rings that get it down absolutely as low as possible for a fixed comb hunter. The gap from rail to knuckle is in the thousandths.

Trade interest for lhrsi, trijicon credo/hx, maybe a Burris XTRiii. Must be illuminated. I'd add cash as needed.

May have the sunshade but not sure.

Def has the box and manuals.

Let's say 850 for. The scope, 950 with rings. Watch a got.

KRG C4 Opinions

Hi all,

I'm contemplating what chassis to get for my next match rifle build. Currently I'm partial to stocks and shoot with a CDG mounted in a TCS in PRS. I've tried a few different chassis in rimfire builds (Indian Creek, PDC and a MDT) and never got along well with them. The grip to trigger reach always felt too short to me.

Anyway I've been thinking of trying a different chassis and the C4 looks interesting. It's expensive but seems to come with accessories that are sold separately on other chassis. Those of you who own or have shot with one, what're your opinions on it? Match usefulness, ergonomics, value for money, comparison to other options, etc?
