I'd say it's more of the left has no qualms or morals about resorting to violence, mayhem or killing whereas the decent folks while way better at getting things done when needed, take so long to get to the stage of "doing what must be done" that the war is pretty much lost by the time they decide it's time to stop being nice.

Pretty much since the end of WWII it's been firmly fixed that way, both with our military and with our country.
Our never ending "war on terror" is a prime example, it could be over in a month or less if we wanted to "do what must be done" with the same lack of all decency and morals that our enemies do.

A handful of guys could bring DC to its knees. Hell a guy managed to get onto a baseball field with sitting members of Congress and start shooting and he was out in the open. 1 dude (supposedly) turned an entire area on Las Vegas into chaos. A couple hidden guys in different locations bring any city to its knees.

Prepared? I don't know about that. I don't think a ski mask and a couple makeshift weapons count as being prepared. They are just more inclined to use them.
