Just got my wife a 2015 wrangler but I’m also going to use it as my range vehicle and wondered what people were using for gun racks in their Wrangler, trucks, or other SUVs. I’m sure state to state is different on how transportation of firearms works, so I will be sure to adhere to that and take that into consideration (I saw several options that mount directly over the front seats on the ceiling). MI is unloaded, in the trunk/out of reach of passengers, so I would like to get something that mounts in the back end or even inside on the rear door.

I know this is a bit Gucci to go this route, but sometimes filling the back end with pelicans gets a little crowded, and hell, wranglers are like the AR15 of vehicles when it comes to mods.

All ones I've considered but not pulled the trigger yet. Mostly because I don't want to leave it in there overnight on a regular basis so I just throw the Pelican in and out but leave other range stuff.

I really like that Smittybuilt one. Hell even to store dog toys and food when I take them on a hike would be sweet.

I run big sky racks overhead in my rigs.

I don't go anywhere without the mags in the guns and within arms reach though.

Advertising firearms ownership with gun specific mods that are visible from the exterior is asking to have your vehicle broken into and your stuff stolen. I only have Hello Kitty and Coexist stickers visible on my ride...

Been reading this review and has lots of different types of gun racks for trucks. There's also a gun magnet truck console for your hand gun.

Yea I’ve seen those magnet holsters as we and they’re pretty cool.

Glass box on wheels. And, Most of the glass is designed to shatter. And, and, consumer locks are only slightly better than security theater, especially “storage cabinet“ locks. Locks used to secure firearms in police cruisers are jokes. Look up The Lockpicking Lawyer on YouTube.

Leave it in the car. Expect it to be gone when you return. That way, at least, you are pleasantly surprised when it’s still there, and not too disappointed when it’s stolen. Help them out. Put a bunch of industry stickers on your vehicle, so the thieves know the vehicle to target.

This is literally to transfer to and from the range and up north for hunting. Just a bit better than a pelican case, but I guess at the end of the day it’s just to look cool so a pelican is fine.

Not a rack as requested ...I sometimes use a leather rifle scabbard made for a lever gun about $80. You can buy them made for scoped rifles too about $100. The loops of the scabbard are long enough that it easily fits over the head rest behind the front passenger seat. It's easy access, easy removal. So it depends on your rifle. No pics...

www.DU-HA.com has boxes that will fit in the back of a jeep.
For pickups they have under seat storage for the back seat that keep everything securely in place and out of site.
For some pickups the have locks that will lock the back seat so they are out of site and locked up.
In my Silverado I had it full of gear for the truck but it would have held a number of rifles if not all ready full.

Does anyone have a solution for securing a rifle in the front seat? I usually have 2 truck guns in the front bench seat with we riding on the farm and they slide and bang around.

Was thinking of combining something like this that bolts to passenger seat and has 2 racks for my guns to sit in. It would be low profile and out of the way when not in use

The Kolpin rhino grips are garbage. I put them on my four wheeler and they didn't last a week of regular riding on a hog hunt in Florida. with a bolt gun or AR before they broke. The boot gun would slide and rotate in the grips.

Interesting. Mine are several years old an still going strong. The rubber band method of securing the firearm to the clamp is a joke, but there is enough clamping force in the u clamps for my purposes- back and forth to a deer blind...

Some of the grey man tactical options may work.

After owning a Jeep and having items stolen twice. Stick with floor mounted safes.
