I'd argue that in hindsight, mandates were never intentionally intended for the average pleb. Bait and switch. But was a way to get even further, near total control over critical services IE, primary education, healthcare, emergency services and military. And in this case was a huge win of purging any dissent from those ranks. Of course, some corporations will also follow, led by leftists who also view this as opportunity. No matter your stance, you will comply or face consequences. Sure, one could say that's voluntary, just like a rabbit volunteers to be the fox's meal. Besides, what does it matter if the end goal is removal for noncompliance?
Additionally, there is a decent percentage of those who got the vaxx, for whatever personal reasons, who disagree with mandates. These people needed to be louder, but...well, here we are.

For many, the personal choice was to get the vaxx. We could argue whether that was a good decision or not but that doesn't really matter. Point is, and at the end of the day, it is the mandates themselves that are costing people their livelihood, not the people who got the vaxx. That's why I say, the anger is misplaced...but of course, the globalists are way smarter and have war gamed this out for years. Probably even used supercomputing models with predictive AI to analyze possible outcomes.
