Russian armored vehicle deliberately veers into path of oncoming car. Somehow the driver appeared unharmed, but required extrication.

Its a Ukrainian Strela SAM inside Kyiv you also do not see any V or Z markings on it , a lone SAM vehicle would not be running around town alone if it was part of an invasion force,i think it might not be an intentional , just loss of control but i wouldn't be surprised if the Strela driver is drunk.

Russian troops unloading some of the wounded at a local hospital.

For those earlier asking about Theis opinion listen to this podcast. @brianf (dude behind Hoplite) and @Feniks Technologies (the now former mod Dthomas3523) spell out what happened.

Short story Theis real name is Louis and he's from Louisiana. Everything else you think you know about Theis the person is fake. Everything.

Hoplite rifle is real. Engineering specs are real. Brianf is working through courts to get everything worked out.

@BLKWLFK9's podcast Just F'n Send It episode. As it says in the description the whole story could be a Lifetime movie. Yes it is 3.5 hours but worth it. It's crazier than you think.

US shared its intelligence on Putins troop build up with China over 3 months.

And then China gave that info to Putin.

Per The New York Times, the Biden administration actually gave classified intelligence to the Chinese communists in an effort to gain their support against Vladimir Putin. Predictably, that completely backfired and only helped Russia in its march toward war.

Over three months, senior Biden administration officials held half a dozen urgent meetings with top Chinese officials in which the Americans presented intelligence showing Russia’s troop buildup around Ukraine and beseeched the Chinese to tell Russia not to invade, according to U.S. officials.

Each time, the Chinese officials, including the foreign minister and the ambassador to the United States, rebuffed the Americans, saying they did not think an invasion was in the works. After one diplomatic exchange in December, U.S. officials got intelligence showing Beijing had shared the information with Moscow, telling the Russians that the United States was trying to sow discord — and that China would not try to impede Russian plans and actions, the officials said.

I would not want to merge with any Russian air superiority fighters in an f35. Mig 29, su 30,35 will all out maneuver an f35 every day of the week.
Why?

The F35 bringing DAS, ETOS, HOBS aim9-X blk 2 and asq239 barracuda ew to the fight. What’s ivan bringing? A cobra manuover? Fancy airshow backflips? Su30/35 3D thrust vectoring is good for decent high altitude supersonic maneuverability but you pay for it in a low and slow fight with energy loss/recovery time while the f35 pilot just looks, locks and shoots. And its no slouch when it comes to kinematics (its just not on the level with the F22, then again no combat aircraft really is), can handle itself in a phone booth.

All this assumes the POS flanker/fulcrum can even put a weapon system on the f35. (This is a real problem for our/allied 4th gens in DACT against the 22 and 35 at red flag and other exercises)

But as you say, bvr is their bread and butter. The pilot will have fucked up big time if he let an opponent get to the merge before eating an Amraam.

If we sent f22/35 sead/dead/oca ships w/growlers for more jammer support, into Ukraine tonight or tomorrow night, the skies would be free of Russian aircraft and iads w/in a few hours at most.

These people in the current Administration are absolute idiots. They themselves have no military experience and rely on the Joint Chief's, the head of which has no direct combat experience despite the CIB with a Star on his uniform. What unit did he serve in as a Field Grade officer on combat operations? I don't see it on his resume.

In the extremely unlikely event of a merge, which an f35 pilot would have REALLLY fucked up to get into, a Russian fighter will beat the f35 in the first turn and it would be game over. F35 will have a very hard time getting nose on to get ordnance off the rails before the Russian jets. I don’t believe that the f35 has the ability to fire high off bore sight fox 2 missles because it was never designed as a dog fighter. Mig 29, su 30,35 will get nose on first and get missles off.

This is all in a merge situation that an f35 should never get into due to its absolute dominance in BVR and situational awards.

Think you need to refresh your knowledge of the F35. Nose-on is irrelevant when dealing with a fighter like the 22/35. The russian wont make it to the first turn before he becomes a fireball. Good luck getting a weapons lock or maybe a lucky shot with your gun - the lucky shot being the consequence of allowing a wvr fight to happen). “Never designed as a dog fighter” are the words of know-nothing basment dwelling industry “journalists” and general detractors of the program - not accusing you of being a basement dweller (or a journalist).

Do you think the f16 can turn and burn (i do)? What about the nose pointing ability of the f18? The f35 was specifically designed to equal those same abilities of each. And basically be second only to the f22 overall in air superiority.

Updated SITREP map.

Looks like the breakout in the south might be contained on the Dneiper River (a very significant water obstacle - and a key defensive line in WW2).

Donetsk front looks like its holding.

Kharkiv is threatened, seeing heavy fighting, but no breakthru yet.

Kiev under major threat, although the air assault looks like it wasn't successful.

This looks like one of those WW2 maps, Germans holding the line against the Red Army.

So what you're saying is, in post #990 yesterday, I should have taken what I said and bet on that as today's outcome at some retarded odds and I would have won.

Not only that but if the F35 driver is looking at the target through that real fancy helmet they use, there is no need to "pull nose" The missile will go where the driver is looking and THEN track. It's called "any aspect", or something like that

Yep, that’s why nose pointing is irrelevant and “dog fighting” ability, as traditionally defined, is meaningless against these fighters.

That fancy helmet costs like 500k; makes me feel a little better i only spent like 500 on my ops core, lol.

Bad stuff. It's actually pretty sad to see. And thus I stand by my statement that the corporate media is our domestic enemy.

As for Ukraine, this is what NATO is for, let Germany get it's pathetic excuse for an army together and sort this out. And where is the dialogue we should be calling for, instead we have idiots like Hillary calling for cyber attacks. In the end none of these governments give a shit about it's people. Putin had legitimate claims and they have gone ignored by the Globalist UN click, and this is what happens when Tyrants are ignored. I honesty wouldn't be surprised if someone, if not all of us get vaporized in a mushroom cloud.

Which missle is it firing that is capable of that close range?

Not saying either of y’all are wrong, I could definitely be wrong, but from what I understand about close in wvr fights the f35 is not your weapon of choice. Legacy fighters should beat in within those parameters.

My old brother in law from decades ago always reminded me, if we fight World War III, we will fight World War IV with sticks and rocks.

Germany isn’t coming. NATO has officially never heard of a place called Ukraine. There will be no nukes - Putin is getting what he wants. No need to fuck it all up.

Your understanding of this is wrong. you’re completely ignoring everything the f35 is capable of except the kinematics which don’t mean shit when a forth Gen fighter goes up against a legit fifth generation fighter bar or wvr . And you’re grossly underestimating it’s ability to handle itself in the phone booth.

The video was cut short, there’s another beginning half. Supposedly Russians in Ukrainian uniforms stole a truck, a Ukrainian ambushed and stopped(shot) them from behind a car, this vehicle was probably going by when it happened and sped off. So guy in the tank was probably headed to back up his buddies but sees the car fleeing assuming it was the shooter, and took them out.

Not saying it was right, but the propaganda is running wild the last few days. Also the Ukrainian was said to have drug the truck driver out and finished him off.

The term is HOBS. High off bore sight. Missile tech is a pretty closely guarded secret. One can assume Modern missiles are no joke and capable of lock on after launch and 180deg turns. Look up the Israeli python.

I know a guy who is an F-16 aggressor pilot and flown against the F-35. To quote him. 1 F-35 dominates a flight of 4 F-16.

F-35 Is 9g capable. It has better aoa( nose pointing) than a hornet. They are definitely no slouch in a gun fight. A lot of dogfighting comes down to the pilot making the right choices. Most modern aircraft are pretty damn evenly matched when it comes to kinematics, the pilots make the difference.

Keep in mind our USAF isn't the sharpest tack. They ran the same flight plan for days for the F-117 which is the primary reason it got shot down. If we're stupid enough to not use the tactics for which it was designed, we'll lose both F-35 and F-22 which would be a MASSIVE fuck up.
