Is anyone here actually talking to folks who live in Ukraine/know or know folks and are communicating with people who are living in Ukraine?
Asking for friends....

VooDoo
I have several Ukrainian friends. They talk on the cell phone to their friends and relatives many times a day, and receive videos as well. I am told that the Ukrainians are fighting back very hard. I am in the USA.

They won't give them jets or anything though. It's almost like they want the ukrainians to fight a guerrilla battle on EU's behalf.
jets are only good if you have pilots, airfields, and logistics to use them....no sense in sending them millions of dollars in planes just to have them sit on an airfield and be used as targets.

the Guerrilla war seems to be working for the Ukranians so far, so why change it.

There is a reason why the Left is supporting Ukraine. They know all of Putin's rhetoric are promises, not bluffs. Putin is not a poker player. He is not an actor. 9/11 failed to bring about WWIII. Globalism failed, with Obama, as POTUS. Trump as POTUS stopped their surge, so they conspired and brought out the planned, fake pandemic, but it failed to bring about a one world system, also. The globalists need a third world war to bring the nations of the world to their knees and beg for a global, one world solution. The globalist kingpins, Soros and Schwab, etc. know that defending Ukraine will push Putin in a corner and he will come out swinging. Liberty is backed into a corner, as well. Do we allow Putin to seize the former puppet states of the old USSR to buffer against NATO aggression, as he sees it? After all The Ukraine has been the route that aggressors have taken against Russia, for the past 1000 years, or so... Alexander, Napoleon, Hitler, etc. Ukraine is Russia's, "Never Again" and the globalists know this. The US government, under the direction of the global left, have put us in this horrible position. We are between a rock and a hard place with Putin and we were put here by the global left to bring about the One World Order they dream of.

If this guy is backing something I know I'm against it.

I wouldn't say NATO laid a trap for Putin, they feared him and didn't want to upset the apple cart (energy) by allowing Ukraine into NATO. Putin took a gamble that Ukraine would fall quickly so he invaded in a way that showed military involvement but wasn't all out war. All out war would have been infrastructure (roads, bridges, pipelines, apartment buildings, etc.) being softened up by bombs, rockets and missiles day 1. The fun Kiev live cams probably wouldn't exist anymore.
I didn't say it was NATO that laid the trap, only that one was laid. With the links above it may very well be argued that NATO is a proxy in all of this. Don't think for a minute that this is really about Ukraine.

In any case we can expect lots of freshly imported 'talent' hitting the streets and strip clubs soon.
I'm sure they'll get preferential treatment by those people in that black book we'll never see of Madam Maxwell. These people know no bounds.

NATO is involved. Sending arms including fighter jets that have been donated and sanctions that include seizing assets and freezing bank accounts is stepping in and becoming engaged. Warfare isn't just boots on the ground, It's also about strangling economic activity to the point the adversary is starved out, which is what is going on here - by NATO and other countries.

This is turning from being about freeing the Ukraine only to now creating a situation where NATO and other world powers are attempting to get Putin ousted by the oligarchs and his own people. Already in a very short time he has lost all clout on the world stage and the pressure is on. The question remains how far he will take this. The escalation is up to him, but he definitely fell into the trap that was laid out.

There are no white hats in this conflict. Every side is dirty as hell.
This is one of the few intelligent posts I have seen. Putin will hopefully not be in power a year from now. Even better, not alive. The world will be better for it. Putin is not of sound mind.

When you surround an army, leave an outlet free.
Sun Tzu

This does not mean that the enemy is to be allowed to escape. The object, as Tu Mu puts it, is "to make him believe that there is a road to safety, and thus prevent his fighting with the courage of despair." Tu Mu adds pleasantly: "After that, you may crush him."

Funny how this year's conflict has gotten so much attention, when shit has been going on for nearly a decade and longer in some respects.

Where were all these drama-queens then?

Actually since about the year 907

The trap was being laid for some time (2008 offer of NATO membership , 2014 Coup) , if Putin had seen it coming this war would have been fought in 2014, in 2014 much of the Ukrainian army would give up at the first chance they got. Now they have been preparing and waging war for the past 8 years.

NATO is a debate club, doesn't ever do anything without Washington say so

Putin invading Ukraine provides a once in a lifetime opportunity to usher in new world order :

- sweep the political and economic failures of the 2year Covid campaign against own people under the rug, all of the Inflation is now Putin's fault.

- censorship, surveillance and control of a population that we have seen during Covid just went into hyperdrive, anyone not cheering for Biden is a terrorist you have seen the DHS memo

-economic sanctions imposed on Russia, with the potential to greatly weaken their economy >maybe undermines Putin's support in Russia to such an extent that he is driven from power by other oligarchs

-turn Ukraine into a proxy war , meat grinder right on the Russian border > considerable potential to weaken Russia to the extent that a regime change could happen. ( at present no one is even trying to achieve negotiations or peace, they are all pouring more oil on the fire, ready to fight to last Ukrainian.). Good thing that NATO is out of Afghanistan otherwise Russians would now shower the Taliban with MANPADS returning the favor, but you can be sure they will first chance they get.

-Invasion ushers in the revival of previously clinically dead NATO; European defense expenditures skyrocket, much of the demand can't be supplied by European manufacturers, LM will need more stripper poles for all the new 'talent' they will be taping

-Russia becoming a Pariah State could weaken its utility as an ally to China

-decoupling Russia will spur massive investment in alternative energy sources - Green New deal but on steroids buy more blankets style

-A resurgent aggressive Russia provides the US with increased leverage over EU for next few years or even decades ("if you want us to help contain the Ruskies we need your help to contain the Chicoms...")

-Refugee crisis from Ukraine provides potentially millions of European migrants that can be easily integrated into the cultures and economies of EU, helping boost the workforce and possibly help a bit with declining demographics in some of the more rapidly aging countries. Basically the opposite of the previous migrants from the Middle East.

- you can throw in digital currency push now it will be sold as a measure to combat the Russians, no more paper money that can't be controlled remotely.

It doesn't take a 5D Chessmaster to predict much of this, so its mindboggling that Putin actually went for Ukraine. But end of the day he is WEF cadre so who knows what script they have for him

I dunno, from my armchair it's been a pretty crappy war so far. No barrel bombs, infants thrown from incubators, sarin gas poison etc. All we get is Ukraine super models with airsoft. Although she is 8/10.

It seems that a lot of "reports" about what is happening have turned up to be bogus. Some more have been found to be pictures from earlier or unrelated events, one was a photo from a movie...A movie. We are in an age when the narrative is reality, same as what the people heard from Tass in the USSR or any other similarly controlled Country. I don't believe anything I don't see with my own eyes or hear from a personally reliable source who saw it with his own eyes. In this case I have no reliable source of information so I can't have an opinion that is viable. All I know is that Our Country is headed in the wrong direction and Our southern border is wide open to ??? and the guy responsible for that say's I should be concerned for the people who paid his drug addict imbecile son millions. I'm going to focus on what is going on right here and let these folks take care of their own problems.

So this is weird---

There is a linked video of the leader of Belarus - Lukashenka - briefing his senior cabinet or some other group... See the red arrows all over it representing the deep battle plan (which is being executed so well).

What is weird, note the very distinctive First Team (US 1st Cav Div) insignia on the side... what the hell is it doing there? I do see that the "Task Force Palehorse" (7/17 Cav) deployed to Poland, with the airframes arriving on 25 Feb. But certainly that can't be the reason its there...

Now Palehorse would f*ck up that 40klick long traffic jam north of Kiev, but certainly this wouldn't be a serious risk at this point... (16x Hellfires from 16 ships delivered in 30 seconds = tough day to drive a Russian Fighting Vehicle)

It was reported that Russia might have used a "vacuum" or thermobaric bomb recently against Ukraine. Has anyone ever seen one of those in action?

I've also been waiting for that old fave, barrel bombs, but in addition to the Hot Airsoft Chick, we've gotten some decent stuff...

Old Shoe and Sam Hyde have been pretty epic, stalling those Russians...just look at that map of the Russian advance published today, showing the controlled territory that was stale 2 hours into the invasion.

Footage from years ago in Chechnya, Belarus, Ukie grandmas, and Arma 3, show the hearty resistance has stopped, demoralized, and shooed the Russians away.

Explosions from various places like China, Ukraine bombardments of their own civilians, in years past, are showing the dastardly Russians destroying Kiev earlier this week.

The inept, incompetent Russians are now despondent and rethinking their advance, after destroying all Ukraine's air defenses, Ukraine Navy, and completely encircling and cutting off Kiev, Kharkiv, Mariupol, and others. In solidarity, I have thrown out all my bought and paid for Vodka!

Your vodka was made in New Jersey, under licence from a company that is owned by Vladimir Putin. This is a fact. You support the war on democracy and your beef allocation will be removed.

I’ve never seen one blowup but I’ve heard and felt MOABS being tested at Eglin.

About 2-3 years ago they set off something that literally made the ground move under my feet. Never heard what it was, but by far the biggest explosion I’ve ever heard come from out there.

That tank round was headed straight at that dude lol. I figured it would have done a lot more damage. I fore sure wouldn't have been peeking out the window again.

Strike on communication tower in Kiev.

I’ve already seen some of these clips from a distance used to say it was residential buildings being hit. Not saying it hasn’t happened, but that particular instance was twisted.

You could tell by the delay from the shot and then the blast that it hit something on the ground below the building (HE). That was just the debris and the outside radius of the blast up as high as he was.

If you pause it you can actually see the trace of the shell impacting whatever that brown roof thing is on the ground is.

Looked like it skipped off the pavement in front of the brown roof shack, clipped the shack and hit the side of the building.

What they are referring to are the TOS-1 MLRS , nasty in its own way as its effective against dug in infantry ,

The Ukrainians captured one today, complete with either a bottle of Lipton's ice tea, or a piss bottle (see fender)
Good view of the mud conditions as well.

If that's a piss bottle it's obviously way to full, and those tanker conscripts are green, green, green.
Putin's using green troops from outlying countryside. He's avoiding using experienced soldiers and those who have lots of city friends and relatives. Keeps outrage from the casualties down and preserves his best fighters for when he'll need them most.
