I don't think you understand how pissed off the average American is. Family members died alone in hospitals. Children were forced to stay home for 6 months and then forced to wear masks for almost 2 years. Many of us quit or were fired due to Mandates. Without taking nukes into account, how costly would it be to even try to establish a no fly zone over Ukraine? AFAIK, Ukraine’s airspace is pretty much totally covered by S400 air defense systems between Russia, Belarus, and the Russian Navy.. And by all accounts, it’s a pretty serious and capable SAM. Not to mention Russia’s Air Force, which has some quite capable 4th Gen aircraft.
I’m certain we’d clobber Russia in a conventional war, as seen when they tried to attack one of our bases in Syria and got obliterated. It obviously wasn’t a 100% effort, but even still I can’t see them having much success outside of bringing nukes into play. We currently have a military of lions led by a lamb, Russia is something more like a Army of wolves and coyotes led by a lion.

I don't think of my brother in law as anything but my brother.
"Brother from another mother" is rarely used in family but is used as an explanation tor those outside the family.
Even my ex wife has become family. That took a few decades but was worth it.
I am blessed by those around me and I in return.
I don't hold any animosity to those I left behind. I just don't have room for the hate.

Also, IIRC(& correct me if wrong); we had the chance back in the ear/mid 90’s to bring Russia into the NATO fold. Why was this not done? We could’ve had one of the largest conventional forces in the world on our side, with the largest nuke arsenal on the globe… now it seems inevitable they will become straight up Allies of China..which is a horrible outcome for us. Also seems retarded India ain’t part of NATO. IMO India’s relationship w/ Russia is the only thing that’d prevent an outright allied treaty between Russia & China.
Hindsight being 20/20- it’s a terrible miscalculation on our part not bringing Russia/India into the fold or at the very least establishing very strong relationships with them 2. If we had, I doubt Taiwan would be under as much threat as they are from China…who is wholly the true #1 immediate and (even moreso) long term threat to America. With Russia and India on our side; China/NK become isolated and severely limited in options and ability to influence global affairs.
As pointed out, Ukraine giving up their nukes looks now to likely be a potential fatal decision.
We should be sending in Patriot and Iron Dome missile defense systems into Ukraine fckn yesterday also.
As I said before I’m conflicted in that I tend to side with Ukraine given Putin’s threats to us and the likelihood of Russia hitting Moldova next(and possibly carrying out plausibly deniable covert attacks against NATO nations Estonia/Latvia, etc.. provided he don’t get bogged down in an Afghan like insurgency in Ukraine which seems to be a fairly likely outcome). The reason I’m conflicted is because Ukraine is a corrupt, illegitimate regime; put into place via the CIA fomented Euromaidan coup.
Also a shame we ain’t put nukes in Taiwan the moment Mao was cemented as leader.
