Biden to ban Russian oil. Get ready for $10.00 gas.

Possibly. But a secondary effect is that fuel oil is used during a unit startup, and that is way more often than one would think, and the price of that is passed onto the consumers.

Most things have to be approved by regulators for consumers eating it.

Electrical generation can't support an electric fleet in reality. Fossil plants reliability is degraded beyond anything you'd believe.

Coal costs much more now due to bam bams war on coal currently, now they're causing this situation with fuel oil.

This country is truly fucked, find a chair soon , the music is about to stop playing.

energy is everything

what we are witnessing is the final phase in the plucking of the eagles wings

Early 70's while most of you were in some ballsack , rubber hoses and cans is how we got gas during the shortage I would imagine today it would still work.

If we're all panicking like its the end of the world over 3% of our oil imports, I don't know WTF to tell you.

When will we have eaten enough shit do actually stand up and do something?
I ask the same question everyday, myself included. At what point do we actually do something more than bitch on internet forums and to our friends and family? At what point do we realize freedom convoys and protesting dont actually do as much as we would like for them to do?

This will also ramp up pressure on this administration to stop blocking new leases. Not sure how unpopular these idiots need to be before they start making some smart decisions.

One of the best kept secrets was our school busses that were fueled up every evening. All you had to do was be able to scale a high chain link fence with a five gal. gas can. Word got around and some lazy fatbody had to ruin it by using bolt cutters to cut a hole in the fence but he paid for it as the popo were by that time onto it and sat in hiding and witnessed the whole thing. He got dogpiled, hit in the back of the head with a Maglite and gravel imbedded in his face. He was charged with theft and destruction of government property.

Just think what it will cost to repair when this goes viral like cat thefts have.

And this didn't even fill up my truck today. Should be interesting to see what happens to all of the campers and RVs that were bought during the covid lock down.
I am just sitting on cash waiting for the fire sale that is coming. I would add SXS and ATVs to that list too. Tons of people financed them with the Biden bucks. Those people that could never afford them are not ganna be able to make payments and pay for gas to drive to work let alone gas to burn driving around the mountains. I am sure boats will follow as well but I don't really want a boat.

As long as Dominion election stealing machines are used they don't give a flying fuck what anybody thinks.

And their actions pretty much indicate the machines are in fine working order and waiting to be rolled back out in 2024.

You aren’t getting the overall picture. We are stopping Russia oil imports and attempting to cover that with Venezuela and Iran. The implications and irony of that are obvious. We are (were) still negotiating with Iran about nukes. That got fucked up, guaranteed.

Lets hope you're able to find that great deal when some poor bastard has to sell his new truck he saved for for pennies on the dollar. Good times ahead for some good deals.

Did Biden REALLY "shut down US oil production"?

Yes his Administration stopped issuing new permits for new wells, but has it done anything against continued production out of existing wells? I mean, did he shut down the Permian or the Bakken or the Gulf?

Won't happen, we'll keep eating shit, and coming on here to post exactly what you're posting. We're soft, and we like stuff, we like our comfort. Until we lose both, nothing will happen.

Branden

Exactly why nobody has done anything or will do anything. People won't do anything unless they have nothing to lose, which at that point, it's way too late.

Won’t get real for you.

I can already see the pain happening. $4 per gallon for the next 8 months is going to wreck anyone making less than 50k, and is living with less than $500 monthly surplus.

If anyone reading this is in the above boat, start cutting unnecessary expenses now. Consider offloading your gas hog if it’s just a vehicle to look cool in.

In 2008, many dealerships would barely offer $0.50 on the dollar for trucks and SUV’s, if they’d even take them in on trade.
Good point, I should offload my range vehicle (Sequoia) and upgrade to newer model or Land Cruiser :). Most likely I'm going to continue doing what I've done with it forever...range, moving shit, Lowes/Home Depot trips.

I damn near bought a newer car earlier this month; but seeing how this gas situation is going...I'm waiting.

Your analysis of 50K I think is a bit low. I'd say if one is < $75K and is married with kid, they're completely fucked. Yet, lower income folks as a whole (let's say < 30K a year) are the ones that mainly voted for this shit. Sad state we're in. Very sad... ALL preventable had the PUBICS done their freaking job with not allowing the fraud which we knew would occur...could all have been blocked by following The Constitution!!!

There is a thread on another forum about this topic and the questions and responses are the same as here. 'How much more of this nonsense are we going to put up with, whats the breaking point, why aren't we doing something?' etc., etc.

Nobody caused this except Brandon. When I say Brandon I'm talking about the globalists. Brandon himself wouldn't know if you shit in a pudding cup and fed it to him.

Rising gas prices don't have a thing to do with Putin or the Ukraine. The Chinese, Klaus Schwab, Bill Gates and the other liquid feces globalists don't have a monopoly and total control on oil and combustion engines. But they will on batteries and battery powered vehicles and equipment.

I keep thinking there have to be people that have reached that point.....nothing yet.

Itll be the same people so instrumental in creating this mess, that will push us out of it. 99% of the people on this site have too much to lose at this point.

I think it will hit restaurants first. For a lot of the middle class that is an easy place to start the cost cutting. Outside entertainment would also be up there.

Cut out eating out, internet subscriptions, alter the thermostat, go less places.

Looks like the word ‘staycation’ will be back in vogue.

ALL discretionary spending will be impacted further from where inflation has already taken it. Now, think about how many people are employed in businesses that deal with discretionary income. Hint: everyone except defense contractors. Slower purchases will hit everyone and affect all industries. There will be (almost) no citizens unaffected.

Absolutely agree.

Food production, the real way, not gay assed Walmart seeds and chemical fertilizer, canning and the other preservation methods, water, meds , the ability to keep it all and other crap.

Anyone who doesn't know this stuff is fucked.

If these bastards complete this process, and currently it appears they will, people will go where the food/security is or they will take care of themselves.

This shit is coming, like it or not.

I'm glad we've chosen to live like our grandparents instead of our parents.

I'm also glad our kids learned some of it. They'll be learning about the rest pretty soon.

Edited to add,

Oil allows the population to be fed.

After energy is weakened, food security is a close second.

You can live without energy. But the population is smaller and more easily controlled.

You can't live without food.

Destroy the economy by scaring everyone into staying home because "scary virus", now further destroy economy by forcing everyone to stay home....again, because of astronomical fuel prices.

Commodity futures are downright scary.
Yes sir.....

I've never been one to worry about shit I can't control. It's allowed me to go through a lot of things and function mentally.

It's probably cliche to say this in regards to the commodity markets today/ food later but here it goes.

After the next harvest, all bets are off IMHO.

People can deal without a phone, driving less, adjusting the thermostat, blah blah blah, but this food thing is a situation that has to be dealt with today.

Crops take time, some plants produce once a season.

That's a pretty simple thing but I don't think the average American really understands it or the repercussions of what is happening today.

Urea, fertilizer ,diesel and other things will cripple us.

Grain exporting countries stopping exports already is a really big deal.

Pretty wild where we've came to already.

I have this mental image of a couple oil tankers leaving a Texas port with $112/barrel oil making it a couple days out of port and price drops to $100.
Oil bought , tankers head back to port. $12/barrel profit.
BUT,
Oil pops back to $110/barrel and is sold again before the ships arrive.
U turn, heading back out to sea. Oil drops a few dollars/barrel and guess what?

Short term pop today to $129/barrel.
Which way are the ships moving through Texas ports now?

Doesn’t matter. It’s all perception and speculators. Another manufactured problem not looking for a solution but looking for bigger problems. Gots ta gits dat monies.
