this could explain why siblings get sick in the same households, but often spouses do not infect each other.

What causes IgA deficiency?

IgA deficiency is a health problem that is passed down through families in about 1 in 5 cases. This means it is genetic. In rare cases, it can be caused by medicines you are taking.

Take this nuke efficiency, add in the waste issue and meltdown risk. Now, go research how many of those we have placed near fault lines in the US. We are truly stupid.

Now in Japan, Fukushima is the gift that keeps on giving.
lariat, I must beg to differ with you on this. Nuclear power has a very good safety record and breeder molten salt reactors are the way to go as they breed more re-usable power fuel. Think of it as a sourdough bread starter. As far as waste goes 95% of it can be reprocessed into new fuel. France has been doing this for years and the amount of unusable waste is very small. USA nuke industry has been trying to follow this doctrine but is constantly shut down by the libs and environmental groups (who by the way have no clue what they're talking about).
Yucca mountain salt caverns are a prime example. You would not believe some of the stuff that's buried at Hanford and I was part of some of it.
I spent six years in the nuclear industry as a welding engineer and fuel load builder at both Hanford and Idaho Falls INF. Even worked on a program called LOFT for the USN and helped build the instrumented fuel core loads for a test reactor that was to taken to near China syndrome (read meldown). And by the way that movie was a fucking farce.
Every commercial reactor has redundant back up systems including the scram rod actuation. Scram rods are heavy x-shaped blades that block the reaction flow in an emergency, they usually actuate from the bottom of the core vessel in between the fuel core rod bundles.
Fukushima was just a bad engineering fuck up. They had the plant laid out wrong in the event of a tsunami and it took out a lot of their back up power systems.
And yes, loss of coolant flow even in a scram situation is bad ju-ju.

Ukrainians committing war crimes against Russian prisoners. You can bet when not if the Russians respond it will be all over the 600pm news

No one gives a fuck. If this country ever gets invaded people will be doing far worse.

molten salt reactors can't meltdown, and they can be powered by the existing waste from "conventional" reactors that nobody wants to store.

Government subsidized
Thats all anyone ever needs to know.
If it wasn't close to negative net gain in energy, it wouldn't have to be subsidized.
I've made electricity for a living AND been in an industry that seeks alternate energy sources and development of same.
The people who come up with these hair brained schemes are the ones too stupid to use electricity. They are literally going to send us back to the stone age.
The technology is not advanced enough, to go to "green" energy, and if dipshits keep demanding we "go green now" we will all be in the fucking dark.
Wind and solar, proposes a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.
Water power, is the cheapest "free" energy we can make, and no one wants it, cause it destroys the environment.
Fucking horse shit is what its all based on.
I have the skillset to work the math and "prove" to you that the juice isn't worth the squeeze. I dont have time to waste teaching pigs to sing.

Believe what you like, but don't forget to follow the money. The money doesn't lie.
Its a grifter's game.
If you have any idea how much 2mw per Kw/hr is, you would realize how absurd the statement is, that wind farms arent worth the squeeze. Also an electrical engineer. I also believe green intiatives are junk. Windfarms are good electricty creators though. Youre not going to use 2MW per hour to create one. If you do, it would only be for 5-7 days.

Did I tell you about the time some engineers sold us a landfill gas project, to power our plant for the next 20 years.
Never one fucking kw/hr.

i am not disputing your knowlege, or what you say.

i would like to point out though, that everytime something happens, it's easily dismissed by "oh, well THAT particular one was flawed". most folks see that, and take notice. it makes people like me say "ok...so what is the next "design flaw excuse" they'll use when shit hits the fan? i think that is why folks get twitchy. the other thing is, there is ALWAYS shit that can happen that no one could anticipate aka...."murphy's law"

Mark Levin warned about Brettster. I must admit, I THOUGHT ACB would have been much better at standing for COTUS than she has. TWO more Trump failures IMO.

In 2024 we need a REAL conservative who's also got massive poltical skills. Because those skills are going to have to build a truly conservative caucus around him. Something Trump couldn't do. Trump exposed a lot, and I'm going to be forever grateful. However, he'd be a lame duck immediately if he won in 2024 - he own "party" would backstab him again, and again, and again.....and again (just like they did before).

Then, just maybe, we can get a real conservative of the ilk of Scalia and my favorite (Thomas).

It might give the impression that the Russian military were captured after having been wounded. But that's not the case. At the end of the video, we can see Ukrainian soldiers shooting all the newly arrived prisoners through their legs.

you are dreaming. name ONE that is up to the challenge. there are not any. at this point, the ONLY way we stand a chance is if someone who has faced this shit before, AND (this is the important part) is willing to pull out all the stops to fire, prosecute, declare martial law, whatever the fuck it takes to unfuck this mess. if it were me, i'd declare martial law, route out the traitors, give them a military tribunal, and then execute them. once i got it cleaned up, i'd resign and turn myself in for my trial. THAT is the only way this is getting unfucked.

Read closely sir. I said what we need, not what we have or could get :( :(. No Reagan lurks in the background. Closest thing MAY be Ron DeSantis; but heck, who knows. IF (and that's an if that's half the distance of the universe at time "now" ) we could find said guy, then yes, there are going to have to be tribunals set up to prosecute, find guilty (that's the tough part), convict and sentence. I think damn near everybody is on the take. :( :(.
