I screwed my suppressor on and shot 10 shots gave the barrel a few minutes to cool and my next shot was a lot louder than it shoulda been. Sure enough end cap is fucked my question is what the hell caused it?

Sounds stupid but,View attachment 7836812View attachment 7836822
Yeah the keys don’t look like they’ve got any chunks missing so should be able to swap out the end cap and be good. Just has me a little puzzled
Lot of people have had issues with eldm blowing up. Probably what happened here
Direct threadWhat is your mounting method?
Did you get a baffle strike?
If you shake the can does it rattle at all? Wondering if was the jacket separation.
Did you hit your target?
I dry tumble with corn cobb media and I make sure I get it all out.Possible the bullet came apart. Was there anything foreign that could have possibly been in the ammo? Tumbling pins?
Did the rounds hit the point of aim. That would tell you wether the bullet blew apart or not.
41.5g h4350 shouldn’t have done that to 140’s though. Everything I’ve heard has been 147’s
Direct thread
Not that I can see
There are some pieces floating around in there. I shook em out so what’s in the pic is all that’s loose inside the can.
Didn’t see impact but it was at 1K with a soft berm
Ejector mark and it flattened the primer. What’s the mark on the rear of the case?

No I usually go bout half grunt tightDo you torque the can on with a wrench at all?
Did you check it to see if was tight after the 10 shot string?
Good chance the round came apart if you were shaking copper and shit out.
Don’t see a pic with debris?Just cleaned that largest piece of “debris” in the pic and it’s copper jacket.
YesStupid question; but I assume this can has been on this rifle before?
What goes on the threads when its not the can? Another device being screwed on and off? Possible debris/interference at the barrel shoulder, causing misalignment?
Definitely could've just loosened after the first string. I dont think direct thread is the next greatest thing, myself. All I can offer though, I'm not familiar with the particular bullet in question
Looks like you might have gotten a small baffle strike in the upper-right hemisphere of the keyway in your picture, but I don't think that will cause any issues. Might just be able to replace the end cap with a new one, and you'll be good to go.View attachment 7836812

Is this just something I should expect at some point? I'm closing in on 13k rounds through my first form 4 and not had it happen yet.....just inevitable? Shoot Berger and Barnes.Jacket separation is more so like this from my experience.
