With the 3D space for travel that is being worked on by NASA, Amazon and others, not to mention the Urban Air Mobility initiatives I'm not sure it won't become even more restrictive as time goes on, if that's possible. The reality is that we do not own the airspace above our property, that is Federally owned. Not many people realize that, and no one I know likes it. It really wasn't an issue worth considering as an individual until now.

These have their uses but also some significant limits. The liability for law enforcement is quite large because of what they end up falling on. Spoofing and jamming are the preferred methods, along with tracking the signal back to the controller and dealing with the pilot. Almost every major event in the US has counter UAS systems being employed. Trust me, no one is laughing at drones, the threat is real. To that point, Counter-counter UAS systems are now being employed to varying degrees in order to keep the drones in the air and on mission.
