From my early "childhood" days of watching those old "soap opera" laundry detergent commercials and questioning how they could make those clothes "Brighter and cleaner," I have always questioned what I saw on TV or heard from others. If it didn't make sense to me, I discounted it. And now, several decades later, that BS meter is going very strong, thank you. It's why I'm trying to think of ways to reach the "sheeples." The people who will simply believe what they're told on TV and allow themselves to be "gaslit" (and to vote that way as well). The dems are counting on their charisma and the media support of it to reach the sheeples and make them vote that way.

We need to do the same and reach them from the other end. It comes down to a race for the sheeples. We need to win that race.

When I was growing up, a man use to come on every night at 6pm and report the news. That’s it. He would report the news for what it was, and it was up to you to interpret it. Those were the good old days. Now, we are a far cry from it.

The press is no longer news. It is now just biased opinions written and directed at slandering anyone the writers and editors don’t agree with.

I scan a few foreign sites. They have their own biases but I got sick of US ones on either side many years ago.

I believe that everyone should know and understand by now that there will be no single source of actual 100% factual, non-slanted, non-obfuscated collection of truth anywhere to be found. All of it is subject to a narrative and agenda. The best you can hope for is to weed out the obvious lies and "average" as many news sources as possible to get closer to the truth - while accepting the fact that you may never have access to it.

I don't find anything based in the US is worth following. Even the so called independent media is so reliant on their audience/advertisers (thus either left leaning or right leaning) that you basically know what their views will be before you have even listened/read what they have to say.

I find the most interesting and least partisan media to come out of the UK.
At least from English speaking countries anyway.
Although they are unashamedly conservative I find the Spectator to be quite good, they do a bunch of podcasts that you can listen to for free.
