When I was in school this was widely accepted. But may God help you if you were caught in the same pickup smoking a cigarette or had a can of snuff. Cheating on a test got your sorry ass beast by everyone- school and family. And the guns just sat there in the gun rack, nobody ever touched them.

Guns were just part of growing up and becoming a man, just like getting a first car or pickup. Everyone had firearms much earlier than the car and we kept them in our rooms or the family gun case. And it should still be this way.

Yep, in my small town during deer season you were allowed to bring your rifle on the bus and put it in your locker. A bunch of us would take our old 30-30's up in the woods after school. Never was a single problem, oh and we had a rifle team, imagine that.
